Owner description: Skybury's Australian Coffee Centre has been transformed into the ultimate farmgate experience. Labelled "Skybury Farmgate", the transformation is part of our long-term vision to further expand Skybury's coffee footprint, not only in Australia but internationally. Skybury is Australia's largest exporter of home-grown coffee, which is an achievement we are incredibly proud of. Our coffee is enjoyed all around the world, from the street cafes of Paris, Berlin, London, Singapore,Tokyo and Madrid, to trendy coffee shops in Cairns and Port Douglas. Skybury's restaurant and tours, will cease to operate from May 1, 2014. Skybury Farmgate will be situated within the foyer of the Australian Coffee Centre, while renovation and building works for a dedicated facility on the farm are underway. Skybury Farmgate will be open to the public from 9am to 4pm weekdays (excluding public holidays) and will sell fresh produce direct from the farm as well as the full Skybury Coffee range. Takeaway coffee will also be available. Keep a look out for Skybury's upgraded website featuring a great e-commerce platform for coffee sales and product information. It will be business as usual for all online, mail order and wholesale coffee sales.

Definitely worth the drive out of Mareeba - and way better than the super touristy Coffee Works back in town. Coffee was great, as was the food - best chips ever! Very nice building with stunning views.

This came recommended from a few different friends, and they weren't wrong. It's worth the 10km drive from Mareeba to the Skybury cafe for what is probably best view you can get of the local area. The building itself is beautiful. We didn't do the coffee tour, just stopped for morning tea. The coffee itself I found a bit weak, but it was pleasant enough. The whole package - beautiful view, lovely building, coffee and banana bread - definitely worth the drive.

Had lnch here and it was nice, however the barramundi certainly looked undersized??? Never seen one that small, ever.Apart from that, the coffee was good and the view was lovely.Staff were friendly enough.Didn't do a tour of the plantation, weather wasn't very nice that day so we just went for a look.

I am pleased that you enjoyed the setting and atmosphere created here at Skybury - I will address the issue you raised regarding the food service. Our bakery staff have recieved many compliments recently for the delicious treats they prepare to order.

Called into Skybury on way to Mt Mulligan for morning tea. Staff were friendly and service was good. Coffee and chai latte were great but we felt that the raisin toast (cold) and the scones (hard) let them down. They could learn some lessons from their competitor Coffee Works on presentation and atmosphere. Call in if in the area. Interesting toilets and the view over the valley is good.

We had lunch here at the cafe - this is a great place for a meal or to enjoy a good coffee. The place is so quiet with a great view of the tablelands and with local wildlife dropping in too.
Serving sizes were great and the staff made an effort to provide a gluten-free menu.
I loved the building - made of solid local timber with high raked ceilings and louvred windows allowing lots of light and fresh air in.
Plantation tours require bookings and a fee of approximately $24 per adult applies.
