We visited Key for lunch on Easter Saturday, and although the weather was a bit on the average side, the food at Key more than made up for it. We'd never tasted African food, so were very excited to give it a whirl - and I'm happy to say we weren't disappointed.
We shared a starter of Kelewele, and it was absolutely delicious. The sweetness of the cooked plantain balanced with the spicy coating was definitely more-ish. Our party of 3 had very different tolerances for spiciness, and yet we all found a delicious dish on the menu. I can't recommend more highly the Jamaican Jerk Chicken - so tasty, and yet so tender! My husband really enjoyed the super spicy West Indian goat curry.
The service was really thoughtful. My Mum was delighted to be treated to a complimentary mocktail.
A great introduction to African/ Caribbean food in a lovely location. If you're in the area, I'd highly recommend!
