“Stunning Views and Surrounds”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013

Very enjoyable stay over the Christmas period. Hosts are very easy going and overall it was very relaxing. Place was ideal for our family as there was plenty of room for our little one to run around, see and interact with some farm animals (chooks and goats) and the gentle labrador. Great base to explore the hinterland and surrounds. Easy to find as its on the main road to Kenilworth from Maleny and there is good signage before the driveway entrance.

We had a two night stay and found Maleny Hideaway to be in a nice quite area close by to Maleny. Our Room was a little on the small side, but then you get what you paid for. It is very reasonable in cost, so is good as a stop over. The room we had was below the entertainment area so was a little noisy with others staying. Maleny Hideaway has nice views of the area. Host was very friendly and helpful.

Such a lovely place. The scenery is breathtaking with an amazing view. Very homely, welcoming feeling but also very private. We stayed here one night for a wedding so we only there for the afternoon, late at night to sleep and breakfast the next day. Kerrie is a wonderfully friendly lady and very helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The house is beautiful. On our second day we explored the property a little. I loved the swing chairs and the bench facing the view of the hills and farmlands, the goats (in a pen) and the dog! Breakfast was a choice from bacon, eggs, fruit salad, yoghurt, toast, coffee, cereal etc. All delicious. Overall, a very homely feel.

Room Tip: rooms underneath the house have a lovely little outdoor seating area

We stayed here 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great hosts who made us feel very welcome. Comfortable, clean and relaxing. Lovely surroundings and our daughter really enjoyed the goats. Thank you Kerrie, Grant and Molly!

We chose this hotel after reading the fabulous reviews, and weren't disappointed. This B&B is extremely good value, especially when taking in to account the hearty cooked breakfast, cereals and fruit that are available. It's situated just outside of Maleny town, overlooking rolling green hills and away from the road. Our bedroom was very homely, nicely presented and clean.

Kerry and Grant are an extremely friendly and helpful couple, they gave us plenty of advice about nearby places to visit, eat and drink, even going as far as calling local restaurants to make reservations for us. Even though Grant is a Man Utd supporter (naturally, since he doesn't live in Manchester), and even though my team (Newcastle) had destroyed them 3-0 the night before, he took it all in good humour and didn't hold any grudges throughout our entire stay! :)

It's taken us a good few months to find the time to write this review but at the time of our visit, Grant and Kerry had some big plans for themselves and the B&B. We hope they went through with their plans and are making it a roaring success of things!

Room Tip: We would advise booking one of the rooms with an ensuite, to avoid having to make trips out of your...

Stayed here 1 night in late July, and enjoyed great hospitality. Very quiet location, albeit we were the only guests, with large ensuite room. Great views down the quiet vally to the sunset. Roaring log burner in the upstairs lounge so plenty warm enough in winter. A real bonus was Kerrie freely volunteering the use of her kitchen to do our own evening meal - terrific after days eating out. A superb breakfast rounded of our stay. To be strongly recommended.

We stayed at Maleny Hideaway for 1 night while touring around SE Queensland recently. The property is located a short way out of town in a lovely secluded spot overlooking a beautiful valley.

We stayed in the 2 bed apartment which was fantastic for a family of 4. It had a twin room, a sitting room with limited kitchen facilities, a private verandah and a large king bedroom with ensuite. The bedroom was nicely decorated with a supremely comfortable bed - I had a great sleep!

The hosts were nice and friendly and the sitting areas etc very nice taking advantage of the views and fireplace. Breakfast cooked to order was great. There was good visitor information for local restaurants and bushwalks etc.

When you are travelling with the kids having extra facilities like the games room downstairs with giant chess set was much appreciated.

There were a couple of small details which would have made the stay 'excellent'.
Firstly, we had a broken lock on our door, which the hosts apologised for.
A lamp in the loungeroom would help with ambiance. Finally it does get quite cold in Maleny in the winter and the one small fan heater would suit one room but not a whole apartment.

I would love to return one day to enjoy a longer stay.
