I have worked in the hospitality industry for many years and seen good and bad, but this place is just AWFUL and DANGEROUS. I have taken lots of photos and I intend to report these people. It's just not right that they are making people stay in such SHODDY accommodation.
The views were absolutely breathtaking...but then you turn around and walk into your unit. YUK!!!

Room Tip: Choose accommodation elsewhere.

Tranquil Park has amazing views and is is located in a lovely setting. We stayed one night and found the rooms to be very tired and dated. The whole place needs a refurb and attention to detail. The furniture is old and worn, the beds were not very nice. The carpet is thin, and very worn. Many of the doors are damaged and do not shut properly. The outdoor furniture looks pre-war. The staff and particularly the owner was a very nice person, who we found quite reasonable.

We have just spent one night here. True, the hotel is showing signs of wear. However, the outlook is spectacular and the only sounds we heard from our balcony were the birds chirping and the cows actually chewing the grass. They were 20 metres away!
We saw a flight of black cockatoos fly close to our balcony.
The breakfast was good and the manageress was helpful.
We will be back soon.

This is an excellent value place if you are not precious.

Room Tip: All of the rooms closest to the Glasshouse Mountains have a spectacular outlook.

we spent 3 day and 2 night here with all out wedding party and quest the venue is beautiful and our wedding was unforgettable the food was so yummmmmmmmmy i could eat there every day. most of the staff are very frendly and help full one lady went our of her way to make sure that myself and my new husbad had everything we needed at the reception.
The view is breath taking no matter what room your in but the rooms need to be updated very old looking and our bridal room had the door left open so when we got in the room around midnight there where heaps of moths flying every where and all over the white pillows. in our other room the bathroom window had no screen so it could not be left open and at the end of our stay at 9am we had people knocking on our door saying that they have just check into this room that we had not even check out of nor where we ready to this also happened to 4 other of our guest in different room the new people where quite rude about it aswell as if we where in the wrong for still being there.
over all this is a beautiful place to have a meal with friend and family and it is a lovley venue to get married in i would do it again but the rooms need attention to detail.
wedding 5 out of 5
food 10 out of 5 beautiful

First room (16) - fly screen on front window had bent (crowbar?) frame, so useless to keep flies out. About 20 moths in room, dead and alive. Large spider web over door inside room, more webs and dead flies in window tracks. TV lacked remote & not tuned properly. Rickety table. Double bed had window (with dead flies. moths etc.) directly behind bedhead. Old, noisy fridge. Door onto verandah had broken lock, so couldn't be secured - notice this at 7.30p.m. on Sunday (first night). Climbed several flights of external stairs (poorly lit in places), found reception door open but reception deserted and in darkness. As had enountered several large cane toads on way to reception, I didn't want to venture inside in the dark (have heard of snakes indoors round here recently).

Following morning got moved to room 20. Doors and screens OK, still has moths in room. Old, noisy fridge. Small, old type portable TV. Bedside lights seem to be a relic from the 1970s and are fixted to tables. Neither work. Bulb loose in one of them. Main bed slightly pulled away from wall when I arrived - odd.

Sandwich lunch today seemed to feature same meats as yesterday's buffet. Colleague ordered 'roast dinner' in restaurant and got same cooked beef, ham and chicken piled on top of sunday roast veg. Another ordered oysters but could only eat one. Service took 50 minutes from ordering. Seating in the bar was threadbare and through to the foam in many places along the seat edges.

Another colleage slipped on path and hurt knee. Many paths and steps very slippery in the wet.

View was stunning though. Some modern details (bathrooms) but the overall feeling is of slightly shabby neglect.

I stayed in Room 23 and had an absolutely magnificent view of the Glasshouse Mountains. Continental breakfast of various fruit choices, yoghurt, toasts, condiments and beverages were great. Very clean, moderna and comfortable facility, spacious and brand new bathroom. I really recommend this as a very good value venue and a gorgeous location.
