What a gem of a place in Maleny. The owner was gracious, friendly and kind enough to give us a room that was not right next door to another occupied room. The room was clean, had coffee making facilities etc. But, the best part about the room, was the view.....absolutely picture perfect. We had a great meal for dinner next door too as suggested by the owner. Nice hot shower at the end of a days travel was great.

Room Tip: It would depend on availability, but ask for a room with a view that faces to the East.

Typical three star style motel, clean rooms, undercover parking, quiet, great views, reasonably priced, friendly owners and conveniently located within driving distance to a number of hinterland attractions. Recommended. Note that four nearby restaurants are within easy walking distance, but you may find them pricey.

We had a wedding at Maleny Manor and did not really want to pay the rates most accommodation options charge in this area. The motel's location was excellent as it was only a few minutes drive from the wedding venue. Noel, the manager even offered to drop us off there but my husband decided to drive in the end. Very attentive though.
Our room (#10, corner room) was good in size, it had all the basic facilities and the renovated bathroom was good too. The spa bath was excellent, albeit somewhat strangely positioned right opposite our bed (very comfortable mattress but they could invest in thicker pillows), but I understand they had to work with the space they had. The spa bath was the biggest and most comfortable one we had ever been in.
All rooms face the main road with beautiful view of the hinterland. Traffic noise was not an issue for us at all and there were great restaurants at walking distance. We had dinner at Key Restaurant and the meals were beautiful (it was the second time we were there). The town centre was only a short drive away.
Bear in mind that it is a motel so if you expect luxury and full service, this is not the place for you. It was perfect for what we were after. We stayed two nights and they made up the room after the first night when we were out having brunch, we didn't expect that at all so it was a pleasant surprise when we walked into the room.
All in all, a great stay and we would definitely consider returning here in the future.

Room Tip: Room #10 is the deluxe option and has a renovated bathroom and heavenly large spa bath.

It's everything that has been previously stated. Dated and uninspiring but clean, comfortable and a view to die for. I'd love to buy this place and turn it into something very special. I didn't think it was worth $110 (AUD) a night for the two nights we stayed there, there are far better places I've stayed for a lot less.
Beware the shower base, it's like a sheet of ice and a slip and fall could quite easily happen, elderly guests please take heed. Take your own bath/shower mat and avoid a fall.
Didn't bother with the breakfast, choice of cereal/ toast/ fruit juice delivered to your room the night before.
This motel is approx. 5 klmnext doors out of Maleny Town. The 3 restaurants are grossly overpriced and from what the locals told me not justifiably so.
The motel is for a one/two night stay at most, there is nothing to do at all at the motel so entertaining kids will involve driving somewhere.
Blanche, the owner/manager is lovely and could be considered the best motel manager i ever met, vary helpful, friendly and nothing appeared to be a problem.
Verdict, perfect valley views, needs a LOT of money spent on it, could be five star wiith the right improvements.
Some road noise could disturb.

Room Tip: 10 rooms, two with spa, I had room 5 right in the middle but I think all rooms would have a great vi...

The rooms at this motel have a fairly outdated interior style, as well as rather dated furniture and fixtures. That said, the bed and bedding were still fairly comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room. The rooms overlook the valley with great views. However, they also overlook the main road, which runs right in front of the motel. This means that you will hear cars going by, even if there are fewer of them at night. The overall location of the hotel is good for visiting the area. Note that the free Wi-Fi does not really work that well in the rooms, instead you are better off going up to the reception area for best results. Overall, a good location and views, but could use some refreshing.

Pros: location and views

Cons: dated interior

We spent 3 nights here and loved it. The hosts went right out of their way to accommodate us and it felt like no request was a problem. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. Fantastic spa bath! Anything else was provided on request including really sharp knives for the amazing fruit we purchased nearby. The view was great, really peaceful outlook. The town nearby also a really relaxing place to shop with pretty much all you need (supermarket, pharmacy, coffee shops, organic, yummy cheeses and clothing shops that weren't too expensive) and a really good children's playground.

Room Tip: There are 2 of the 10 (?) rooms with a spa bath that are for only small extra costs. We booked this...

We spent the night here and really enjoyed it – as others have said it is an older style motel but don’t let this put you off. It’s clean, tidy, very comfortable with everything you need if you’re getting yourself ready for a wedding (iron, hair dryers etc) – most people staying here are usually attending weddings nearby.

Great views of the coast looking out the front windows, you’re close to the road passing by but shielded from any road noise – the view is worth waking up to.

Booking was easy, I left a message and was called back promptly, any follow up queries were answered promptly as well. The managers are very friendly.

There are three restaurants next door to the motel and another across the intersection.

For breakfast we walked to Mary Cairncross Park, about 1.5Ks away along Mountainview Rd, maybe 15 minutes, great breakfast with views across the Glasshouse Mountains.

Closer to the motel is Le Jardin, lucky to be a 5 minute walk from the motel in the same direction as Mary Cairncross park – it’s a French themed garden centre, gift shop and café, you can eat inside or out.

Both of the above restaurants open at 08:00 on the weekends.

We look forward to returning.
