Having spent a large amount of time and money looking for one these amazing creatures, I discovered that they may be easily seen at this beautiful caravan park! The managers, Barry and his wife, Kylie, were really helpful in assisting me in locating this wonderful and little known animal.
The park is a wonderful place to stay. It is so well situated near the falls, the town and key tourist destinations in the Atherton Tablelands. In addition, the park is so environmentally intact that it was easy to see other mammals such as Green Ringtail Possums in the trees and many butterflies such as the Ulysses and the Cairns Birdwing. The facilities are excellent, too, as Barry and Kylie have worked successfully to make their park a top drawcard in the Cairns hinterland. The next time I go to Cairns, I'm definitely returning to this park.
