This amazing resort has to be seen to be believed. Your very own tree house - beautifully designed with all facilities & more. Watch sunrise over the Forest from your very comfortable bed, your deck area or even your own spa bath!! Take an early morning bird walk with Jon - 40+ species. Breakfast hamper provided is enough for 2days. The icing on the cake is award winning chef Bradley's evening meals - to find meals of this quality in such a remote setting is amazing. Rose gums is set in the beautiful Atherton tablelands & there are lots of places to see within a short distance - don't miss the Millaa Millaa falls with the iridescent Ullysses butterflies too. Free wifi is available 24hrs at reception. Really wish could have stayed longer.

I came with my daughter, son in law and grand daughter for an overnight stay after deciding to head to the tablelands for a bit of R n D and found Rose Gums Wilderness retreat.
We found our treehouse to be amazing and could have easily lived here forever !!!!!
The treehouse was first class with all the beautiful timber and stunning views and catering to every need. The supplied breakfast was all one could ask for and the open fire deliciously snug.
The story behind this amazing wilderness is one of love, inspiration and dedication and the success shows in the wonderful array of fauna and flora that has found new life, and the many awards well earned.
The restaurant was a wondeful experience and the food sublime, we feasted like kings :)
I will go back and I will let everyone I know just what a wonderful retreat this is for some time out from the rest of the world. :)

A unique experience, particularly for bird lovers. Spacious cabins. Charming and helpful hostess/owner. Excellent breakfast hamper provided, together with lots of helpful extras for self catering I.e. Oil, condiments, etc. need to purchase own food for cooking prior to arrival as this is an isolated location. On site restaurant food was first class and the chef warm and friendly.

Room Tip: All cabins are totally private

Magical Tree top escape in a beaut setting....private and serene.
Most relaxing and rejuvenating time, recharge and chill time in a very peaceful and tranquil spot.
Extremely well hosted by Peta and Jon, great breakfast hamper supplied, and some very nice coffee too!!!
On our next stay we WILL dine at the restaurant as all the guest comments/reviews in our chalets guest book were highly complimentary (we took our own food and utilised the microwave/convection oven, a bbq is also provided at your chalet)!
Stayed for two nights and were sad to leave!

This is a place to see and experience

It is friendly, clean, spacious and has everything that you need whilst away from home. You can eat in the restaurant or self cater, need to bring your supplies with you.

So yes I would recommend it for either a break to recharge or a base to see the country

If you wanna stay in the the nature surrounded by rainforrest and hundred of birds, this is the place to stay. We stayed in one of the cabins with spa, terasse, two bedrooms and a hughe kitchen/livingroom, and it was 1'st class. It was clean and there was all you need. The breakfast was basket in the fridge containing all you need to make your own breakfast.
Do your self the favour and try the restaurant where the chef is the waiter too, and he makes the most FANTASTIC dinner.
Unfortunately we only stayed one nigth, but we're glad that we did.

We spent two nights here enjoying the atmosphere of the Rainforest from the wooden havens created by Rose Gum. The chalet we stayed in was large with a god sized veranda. The chalet is equipped with a full kitchen where the eggs and bacon supplied in their Breakfast Hamper can be cooked or you can stick with the continental as we did. The Restaurant with
Bradley in charge produced excellent tasty meals. With so much of the Rainforest to be seen it is worth staying a few nights here and spending he time on their property and travelling to the lads, etc. nearby. Owners feed wild birds daily and encourage other wild visitors.
