“Basic Chinese”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

This was like walking in to the local Chinese of the 70's in Sydney . Simple uncomplicated Australian Asian meals. Nothing too challenging, hot .plentiful food courteously served for a reasonable price. Nothing bad to report but I have no burning desire to dash back

“Worst chinese ever!! Don't even bother...”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

Title says everything about the place the food was cold, lacking flavour and the soup tasted like salty thickened water!!! By far the worst Chinese food I have ever experienced.

“Chinese food for those who haven't experienced Chinese food”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

This place is open late (by country town standards), this instantly sets it apart and makes it an invaluable dining spot. After 8:30pm on a weeknight in Longreach your options become extremely limited.

The decor is as all Chinese Restaurants in Australia should be, a little tacky and very dated. No renovations or style changes since the 1970s.

Service is unusually polite and helpful (for a restaurant of this type).
The food tastes reasonable. It's not imaginative, it's not authentic but it is traditional Australian Chinese takeaway food (Mongolian Lamb, Beef and black bean sauce, Sweet and sour everything, Chow Mein, Deep fried Spring Rolls). All the classics are on the relatively short menu. If you've travelled through Asia or are Chinese don't expect to find your traditional favourites here though.

“Good Place to eat”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

Great food & Great Service.

I reckon you can judge a Chinese restraunt by the décor. If it is from the 70's the food is great :). This place was clean and the service was good & quick.

A great place to eat

“Good Chinese”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Food was fine, prices good. I've had far worse Chinese food than whats served here. If we were in Longreach we would go back again. Our 10 year old enjoyed it
