The first time we visited Longreach was just before building commenced on the Hall of Fame. The cottage had been built, and gave promise of great things to come. 30 odd years later, we were not disappointed. From the delicious food at the cafe to the architecture, the depth of information and stories we were never without admiration for what has been done. Our only regret was not having more time to explore. However, we finished the day with dinner at the Stockman's Bar, a most entertaining and enjoyable experience, with great food, a fabulous sunset, and an excellent presentation of a combination of horsemanship and comedy.
