We did the dinner cruise and right from the start we were enthralled. Bus pick up from our motel, entertaining bus and paddle boat driver, beautiful scenery and stories and plenty of tucker.

Delicious hors d'd'oeuvres, camp oven stew, apple pie and custard, finished off with damper and golden syrup and a cuppa.

Bush poetry, a light show. Everything was amazing.

Such good value for money.

What a great crew!

Fabulous experience from the river to local humour and outback stories from real farmers - this is a must do. From the minute you are collected in the air conditioned bus, the kinnon and co family regale you with outback gags and warm welcoming hospitality. The river at sunset is beautiful and not too long a trip - kids loved turtles and eagles and the ginger beer! The entertainment which is regularly refreshed (they have a lot of return visitors) was funny and educational. The video about the infamous local bush ranger was a great way to get a feel for the history and featured lovely local art work. Bush stew, apple pie, Poetry and damper around the fire all wonderful. The family who run this have the stage coach rides, station accomodation, a shop in town and other offerings - I recommend them all. They have a down to earth quality and authenticity that comes from the hard working family that does this to support the region and keep their farming enterprise going through the long drought.

We had the best day with Kinnon & Co Outback Pioneers. It started with the Cobb & Co Stagecoach Experience at 8.30am followed by a delicious devonshire tea smoko in the Welcome Home Cafe, Then the old time movie "Smiley Gets a Gun" followed by the side splittingly funny "Harry Redford Old Time Tent Show". Our faces hurt from laughing.

The running commentary during the coach ride was informative and entertaining, the taste of dust from the coach is still in our mouths. it was authentic and honest. The males of our family travelled up top on the coach and loved every minute. The appreciated the clean up afterwards too.

We ended our day with the Starlight's Cruise Experience aboard the Thomson Belle. Once again the running commentary during our coach transfer out to the river were entertaining and informative. The cruise was lovely and sunset did not disappoint. The bushmans dinner was filling and very yummy. No frills but a great feed. Scotty's poetry was moving one moment and hillarious the next. To end the night with the National Anthem was a very touching moment.

Kinnon & Co you are brilliant ambassadors for Australia and the outback. Everyone should get the chance to meet you. The honesty and integrity felt in your business are secnond to none. Well done.

We had a ride on the stage coach and very quickly we learnt how our forebares travelled. The dry dusty track really gave an insight especially whgen the horses had a gallop. Thankfully I was inside the coach but my husband rode up front and some others rode at the back outside. They were thick with dust when we arrived back. A lot of fun.

Happy to hear you enjoyed the Cobb & Co stagecoach and thank you for the good review. While there's always a bit of dust on the old bush track, the very long drought has taken it to a new level! But it's one of the many things pioneers experienced on their stagecoach journeys so you certainly get a feel for what it was really like!

Richard and his family go all out to make your holiday a memorable one. There were 3 couples in our group and everyone was absolutely thrilled. From picking us up at the train to dropping us back 5 days later, a huge effort was put in to making our holiday great.. Absolutely loved the stone grilled meal at the cafe and the breakfasts were awesome. We did the Cobb and Co coach ride, the extremely funny tent show as well as tea/coffee and the most beautiful scones for morning tea. A billy can lunch during the tent show was an unexpected surprise. We loved the sunset river cruise, the dinner (all home-cooked) and very humourous entertainment on the banks of the Thompson River. Scotty showed us around the Hall of Fame which we thoroughly enjoyed. Beautiful hardworking family, Richard, his wife, 2 sons and daughter. Congratulations to all of you for making the most of your situation. Thoroughly recommend to anyone that intends to visit Longreach.

Our first stagecoach experience & a memorable one it was. We sat inside the coach but I don't think it matters where you sit, be prepared for dust and alot of it. Very entertaining these Kinnon boys..
We had morning tea of scones & tea/coffee, delicious.
Into the movie theatre of the old style canvas seats with woodchip under feet to watch 'Smiley gets a Gun'. An oldie but a goodie and then there was more. The Harry Redford Old Time Tent Show, very entertaining. We must of been there 4hrs overall & for $99 we felt it was good value.

A range of outback experiences on offer from this company make them a one stop shop for visitors to Longreach.
We watched the Harry Redfern show and then did thedinner river cruise/show. Highly recommend both experiences. We loved that this is a family run business and that participating in their tours means we can give back a little bit to this drought affected community. You won't go wrong booking a tour with this mob.
