AS soon as we drove up we wished we had not pre booked. It looked univiting and shabby. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but the style and decor were dated. It was priced alright maybe. There was a chair out side the room surrounded by dust and leaves which you can not use in the afternoon due to the oppressive heat under the tin awning. you maynot be able to park infront of your room either. We wont be back sorry.

Thank-you for your review, I unfortunately cannot agree with you that our motel looks "univiting and shabby", comments simply not true. Our motel is well over 30years old but has a country look and feel about it. I see on your profile you love the beach, amusement parks, casinos, and water skiing. Unfortunately we are situated in the heart of Central Queensland, a good 8 hour hard drive to for example the nearest casino so perhaps a little reseach on your part may have made your stay in tyhe outback a little more enjoyable. Your booking was for one night made on the internet, you truely need a solid 5 days to experience all we have in the central west.
You mention dust, well yes, we unfortunately have a little in the outback, as for heat......yes,ALOT of it. We have no tin awnings at the Abajaz.
There are many undercover car parks available at the motel, no undercover car is always allocated to the guest directly in front of their room, I think off memory your car spot was not directly in front of your room but one across as you mentioned.
We have 4 other motels in town and hope you come back and experience our lovely region, we unfortunately in your case wasn't the motel you looked and hoped for. I did try to call you on your mobile and sent a text, but to date remains unreplied to.

This has to be the cleanest Place we have ever stayed in. The room was very comfortable and one with the best shower. Our hosts were really helpful, friendly and went so far as to pick us up from different venues when we went sight seeing. Love the undercover parking. anyone heading to Longreach should stay at Abajaz Motel Inn. We will most definitely be staying there when we make another trip to Longreach.
Kudos to our Hosts and thank you for your hospitality

We stayed at Abajaz Motor Inn for one night. The reception was friendly and informative. Although the decor was dated, the rooms were clean and tidy. While located on the main road, there was no issue with road noise. Air conditioning was necessary in September. Tea and coffee included small packets of biscuits. We haven't seen that for a while.

We travelled by taxi to and from the airport. We also visited the Qantas Founders Museum prior to arriving at the motor inn. The museum is a great place to visit.

One of our best motels to stay. Our hosts just couldn't do enough for us and Rodd was always there to see us off on our tours. Even was there to wave us off early on our train ride back to Brisbane. The special touches like a welcome pack of goodies (which lasted quite awhile) and just willing to be of help in anyway made it special. The room was very clean and tidy as well. The personal touch was very welcome, rather then the run of the mill motels.

Room Tip: Choose Abajaz and you'll be treated right!

What a friendly couple Rodd and Lianne are who could not do enough for us when we stayed in August on an Outback Aussie Tours holiday. A wonderful welcome pack of goodies was there to greet us and a "cheese and crackers platter"for happy hours was a nice touch. Rodd was there to run anyone up town or out to an attraction for another look. Although we only had a continental breakfast as we were off early most mornings, there was always ample with cereal, fruit , assorted fresh bread for toast with jams and honey. We will not hesitate to recommend this motel to all of our friends who plan to visit Longreach. Graham & Irene Williams.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great.

We were recently on an Outback Aussie Tour Holiday and the Abajaz was the motel we stayed at before, and during, the tour. The room was very clean, very comfortable and well set out. The breakfasts were hot, delicious, and always on time. The best part of our stay, however, were the Managers, Rodd & Liane, and their "boys". They are such a friendly and welcoming couple. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even picking us up from the airport despite it being a busy time for them at the motel. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay there very much!. We have no hesitation in recommending the Abajaz as the place to stay in Longreach. We will be definitely be back.
