Lots of butterflies to view and photograph, without having to buy the photos seperately. Spend as little time or long as you like.

This place was a pleasant surprise. We took our 8mo daughter and she really enjoyed it. Spent longer here than we thought we would, just staying still and waiting to see if the butterflies would land on us. The caterpillar laboratory was amazing as well. Well worth the $19 entry.

“A really lovely experience”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

We visited with our two children and spent far longer in the Sanctuary than I would have thought. With a 4 year old son who has a short attention span anything longer than 20 minutes seems like a lifetime but he was happy to explore for about an hour. The sanctuary is peaceful and incredibly beautiful with a huge amount of butterflies filling the air. They even land on your hand, head and clothes. All 4 of us really enjoyed our time there.
Highly Recommended....

“Small and overpriced. Skip.”
Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

Went here and paid $19 for adult entry. Had a small gift shop with well priced souvenirs. However, when you enter the place is tiny. Has the main sanctuary and a small caterpillar room that's it. Was in and out in 10 minutes. You could sit in there longer but it got crowded quickly. I would skip this one.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience at Australian Butterfly Sanctuary. For the entry price (about the same as a movie ticket) you do get a unique, memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. With regards to the overall value of the experience, we do offer guided tours through the aviary and breeding laboratory at no extra cost throughout the day, detailing a butterfly's life cycle and behaviour. These tours add to the overall experience and value of entry, and also allow for any crowds to be more controlled during our peak busy periods, so that visitors can move around comfortably.

“Beautiful Butterflys but Expensive”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

Our daughter was so looking forward to visiting all the butterflys and she loved it but it is really expensive for what you get. We spent spent nearly as long looking at the displays at the end, of butterflys from around the world that are dead than she did looking at the live ones.
