Every weekend, if we can, as a
family we have Sunday lunch here! Peter and Maryanne are
amazing hosts! They successfully converted out 17 year old from Nachos to Thai Green Curry! Merlot and zelda the winery dogs are everybody's friends!

We only stopped by for morning tea and to buy some wine. The coffee and scones were very good. The shiraz jelly that came with the scones was delicious. The winery and café are in a very picturesque setting. Checked out the accommodation and it looks very comfortable.

This is a delightful find. A vinyard and cafe which would be at home in Tuscany; only it is nestled on the Booie Range, very perivate but with expansive views, a few kilometres from Kingaroy. The location is superb, the cafe small, unpretentious, and very welcoming, right down to the family's two dogs, one of which sleeps at your feet as you laze on the verandah. The menu is small, which is for the better, and the focus is modern Australian/Asian. We returned 3 times in 2 weeks, which meant we graduated from the daily menu to the monthly specials, which seemed to offer that little bit extra. The wines are all from the vinyard, so it's a small range, but the ones we tried were all robust, even memorable in their class. And the service struck the right balance between being attentive and allowing time for quiet enjoyment of the occasion. We'd go again, definitely recommend, and next time hope to stay overnight in a quirky cottage adjacent to the cafe.

The charm of this place starts when driving in. The tree lined road with the vineyard on either side is serene. The cellar door feels like you are in Italy with its red stone work and crawling vines. The owners are a perfect fit-welcoming and accommodating. The meals are yummy, the desserts are delectable, the cheese platters are superb, the scones are classic and the coffees are excellent.
Because I don't live to far away, I have been there a few times- can you tell. I have been know to bring a friend with me to chat it up or bring a book or catch up on current affairs from one of their newspapers. It is my brief escape from the real world.

If you want to have a rest with a cup of coffee and enjoy some shaded gardens and a break from the town of Kingaroy, this is ok.
The owners are very "businesslike" and a bit blase. When we sampled some of the wines but could not find anything to our taste the atmosphere became even cooler. So we decided to have a meal and a coffee - great disappointment. Both meals we ordered were based on same "mince" with just a dash of a different sauce. The "whatever wine" pie was an open filo pastry with just some mince thrown into it with not seasonings, nothing but plain mince with a bit of red wine; the other dish was with same filling and definitely not gourmet. A frozen pie would have been better.
Will not go back. Crane Wines in the area are less pretentious but so delightfully welcoming.
