“Run-down and unloved”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

Their ice-cream is fine however the place looks distinctly run-down and unloved. Apparently there was a restaurant on the site but that appears to be only a memory these days.

“Spoilt for choice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013 via mobile

So many flavours of ice cream you are spoilt for choice. Served in a small pot and is very refreshing on a hot day.

“Blueberry, Mango, Caruba and Coconut, Mmmh”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2013

We spotted the sign on the way up to Cape Tribulation and made a note to stop off on return trip. Daintree ice cream; Blueberry, Mango, Caruba, coconut served up for $6.00. We hadn't planned on having as much but managed to consume 2 cartons between us. Absolutely heavenly, especially the coconut for me with pieces of juicy coconut throughout. All had the texture of the fresh exotic fruits bursting with natural flavours.
Shame I couldn't bring some home with me. I'm salivating just recalling the texture and tantalised taste buds we experienced. If you are taking a tour make sure you include this stop over. We also bought dried mango for the trip and Daintree tea .
The grounds were lovely with many species of fruit trees in the grounds, all labelled for identification.
If you do go by car take care at the entrance in case the large potholes are still there. We visited only days after a cyclone so the ground was possibly wetter and ploughed up by buses visiting. Well worth visit for at least 30 mins, or longer, to take in the botanical diversity of fruit trees and lovely grounds.

“Amazing flavours”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013 via mobile

This place is not fancy and could do with some renovation. However, the tables are placed around a garden area which is relaxing. The business is up for sale. I was served by a lovely man. All the ice creams are pre packaged in little tubs and cost $5 each. The flavours available are very unique and many. So hard to choose.

“Felt unwelcome”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2013 via mobile

We pulled in on a rainy day, no one else was there, a lady came to serve us but seemed like we were an inconvenience, no smile and no free tastings, just sealed tubs for $5.00 a pop, which I don't mind paying if I'm getting good service! The icecream was lovely and many flavours too choose from!
