“Absolutely Exceptional Daintree Village restaurant”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

The first thing that I would like to do is correct the address. The Croc Eye Cafe is in the Daintree Village. The reviews here appear under Queensland Restaurants and they should appear under Daintree Village restaurants.
The previous reviews tell the story and you can just see how pleased the dining patrons are. The Croc Eye Cafe is the only Daintree Village restaurant that is owned and run by a chef and it shows. The meals are exceptional and simply great value. Of particular note is the seafood themed Tuesday night dining. This tiny little outback town is privileged to have such a good quality establishment. Rick and Kelly deserve the accolades that they receive for producing the goods.

“Great northern hospitality at Croc Eye Cafe”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Croc Eye Cafe offers fabulous food and friendly service. Amazing quality at a very affordable price, is key feature of the menu. We loved the seafood night where we could choose from 2 main dishes priced at $12.50. The coffee was superb and the cakes were all baked on site. Our family loved the northern Queensland hospitality. The Croc Eye Cafe is a treasure of the North- definitely worth a visit.

“Absolute understated brilliance!”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

We randomly picked it. 3 young men running it. Efficient, humble and delicious. Tried pasta and croc ribs. The deco is good, if not great. Even presentation of food is good.

Called in after saying goodbye to our son who is working at the Daintree Wilderness lodge for a cuppa and had the best service and the best scones.

“Worth travelling to for great food”
Reviewed June 11, 2012

The Croc Eye cafe is, as others have hinted, a real discovery. The food is of the highest quality, beautifully cooked and presented, and the friendliness of the couple running it makes you feel right at home.

We were recommended this as a good place to eat in the village by Andrew at the Red Mill House. We were blown away by the food and wine on offer. We had thought we would go to the trendy Eco Lodge and Spa on the following evening, but changed our minds and returned to eat a second night here. It was definitely worth it.
