Owner description: We have been conducting tours on the Daintree River since 1987 and run a family operated, one hour river tour from a private jetty. Our boats are small and personalised for a quality experience and our tours focus on wildlife such as snakes and birds, with an emphasis on crocodile spotting. The tour includes commentary about the area and the mangrove ecosystem. We also provide good quality binoculars and complimentary hot and cold beverages.

Lizzie is a crocodile that lives on the Daintree river, the day we visited she seemed to be just lazing on the muddy bank when all of a sudden the slowly glided into the water. This was just part of our great experience on the Bruce Belcher River Cruise. The staff are friendly helpful and very knowledgeable pointing out several crocodiles as well as numerous species of birds. To make seeing the birds more enjoyable each person was provided with binoculars.

There wasn't a lot of sun when I took the tour, but despite this we saw some of the local crocs. There were a couple of little ones and a bigger female, but a small boat has scared away other larger crocs just before our trip.
The expert tour guide explained crocs, birds, and mangroves to us in an easy to understand way.

My daughter, grand daughter and I went on this River Cruise while up in the Daintree and thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour guide was clearly very knowledgable and I appreciate the fact that this is a family run business who have been in the area for years.
We took an early afternoon cruise and saw a couple of Croc's on the river banks, several interesting birds and a couple of Snakes in the trees. \
I thought the experience was well worth the price and would recommend this tour if you are planning to visit the area~

Our guide had a lovely funny approach to his commentary, including introducing himself as Blind Freddie. We went on the 4pm trip and we all enjoyed the complimentary beer, wine soft drinks and snacks after a long day touring around.
We saw 4 crocs and plenty of birds, a really lovely afternoon on the river
The gift shop was great and Bruce's wife has done a great shopping across the globe for some interesting things.

We saw a number of crocodiles on the tour - two smaller ones, a female and the bigger male. We managed to get there at a time - 11am cruise, when the tide was lower and the crocs were sunning themselves on the river banks. The crocs are not spooked by the cruises but unfortunately there was a small fishing dinghy that was in the area that spooked them into the water making them a lot harder for us to see them, we were just lucky we got there before the small dinghy did. The information from Bruce was interesting and he was very quick to spot birds and other wildlife. Great to see these animals in their natural habitats.
