Amazing little cottage with your own creek! It's very difficult to get access to the daintree rainforest as it is all privately owned. But if you stay here you can put on your walking boots and head upstream to some remote and beautiful parts of the Daintree that very few others will ever get the opportunity to see. Ali is an amazing host. The cottage has all the comforts of home and a little extra. PS Turn the lights off at night and you will be visited by an array of forest animals.

Four us stayed in the cottage in Jan, the cottage was lovely, plenty of room, self contained, very clean and
suprisingly cool at night. Very private, we had our own rockpool in a little river, glorious views, outdoor table, hammock, and a little table and chairs overlooking the river. Luckily the weather was perfect, one night it rained which is beautiful in the daintree, fish and an eel in the river, swam , at night the resident bandicoot which we fed, lizards, butterflies etc.
Was just perfect and will come again. A perfect view of the stars as well. The only thing i would suggest is a sign on turpentine road to indicate the direction of the cottages. Photos do not do this place justice.

This place was fabulous. You were within an easy drive of all supplies, the beaches for romantic strolls or family games, cafes, bars and grocery stores and yet you felt that you were the only ones there. The secret was in the way the house is set into the rainforest. It has been really well thought out.
We stayed in the rainforest and there was a couple in the cottage but it was nothing like being in a holiday house. It was private and extremely well equiped making it feel like your own home. There were lots of lovely features including a really quirky wardrobe upstairs. There were 5 of us and plenty of room for us all to have space to do different activites.
My only negative comment is MY short sightedness in only booking 2 nights. Next time I think I will escape there for 2 weeks. I loved it. Romantic setting, tranquil setting. Whatever you are booking the accomodation for - just go for it, this place is the bees knees!

My husband and I took my Mum and Dad up to the Daintree for their first introduction to Australia and all expectations were exceeded - what a wonderful part of the world. As my parents were only in Australia for a short time I wanted somewhere that offered them everything and this was a great choice - amazing beaches, the reef, the rainforest and the roundhouse was the perfect base. It is so relaxing and you feel a million miles from anywhere, the creek and swimming holes in the back garden are beautiful and so clear - my Dad swam with a platapus!! We cooked on the old stove every night with wood from the forest which gave the food such an amazing smoked flavour, Pam had also left us coconuts out the back so we had great fun getting into them - the flesh was so sweet. Pam introduced herself on our first morning and was a fantastic source of advice on what to do, where to go and who to book tours with. Worth a visit - The Daintree Discovery Centre, GBR snorkeling from Cape Trib,The pub at Cow Bay and Steve the Bug Man! An absolutly amazing get away - I would reccommend that everyone experiences this little bit of heaven.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to spend a blissful 7 days in the roundhouse. This property is truly "half way" between cape tribulation and the daintree ferry, and therefore extremely well located to numerous tourist attractions -national parks, hikes, quirky museums, spas and organised tours - and good quality restaurants. A huge THANK YOU to our hostess Pam, who was able to recommend a number of local restaurants which were particularly special (including Whet, Cape Trib camping pizza and Mojo's in Mossman).
I must mention that although this property is well located, it is - especially to city folk - very isolated and only accessible by car. You are also certain to be visited by the largest spiders you will ever see (particularly at bedtime!), which for my partner and I was slightly unnerving. For those planning a longer stay, there are no laundry facilities so be prepared to handwash or visit a local laundromat.
If you are looking for a place where you can "drop out" for a few days, I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

My husband and i spent 3 days in the cottage recently and had the most wonderful break. The beautiful swimming hole in the creek just metres from the cottage was not only private but absolutely pristine. The cottage is immaculately presented and perfect for 2. Thanks to Pamela for being a wonderful host.
