This was a last minute arrangement having determined by a failed attempt to get to St George before night fall and safety dictating a stay in town.. My colleague's inability to read road maps resulted in our arrival in NSWs .. losing valued time as dark approached and kangaroos were rife... so we returned to Cunnamulla.

You book in the bottle shop. The Inn Keeper was a nice bloke.

We stayed in the cabins. They were nice. Someone has made a clear effort to ensure that these cabins are livable for long term stayers.

Dinner was nice. The Steak tasted amazing!!!

I won $30 at the poker machine.

Thanks for your kind words Allison. Glad you had such a good time. It's definitely better to be in a comfy room than dodging skippy the bush Kangaroo. Look forward to seeing you next time,

Stayed here twice now through work. They have good sizes, clean and basic cabins to stay in at the back of the pub. I would recommend these. All the facilities you need - TV, fridge, small microwave, kettle, iron etc and a self contained bathroom. And the bed is comfortable. The whole place is clean and well maintained.

It is very quiet at night so you can get a really good nights sleep. And the meals are good quality pub meals at descent prices. It's not 5 star, but I've stayed in many country towns in much worse accommodation than this. If you are going to be staying over in Cunnamulla, I would recommend the Warrego.

Room Tip: I've only stayed in the cabins out the back. Quiet and highly recommended for a quiet night'...

Nice old style country pub. The staff were helpful and friendly as required. I stayed in the flat above the hotel, 2 bedroom, lounge-kitchen, entry-dinning and bathroom. Nice and clean, with a 30"(I think) flat screen TV; very roomy. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the room for you as there are road trains right out the front all through the night.
The shower and bathroom are a little dated, but do the job. The water is artesian and smells heavily of sulphur, but there is 2 bottles of water put in the fridge each day, so use these for cleaning your teeth etc. And you don't need the hot tap; maybe in winter..

You need to run the aircons (1 in each bedroon) all day to keep the flat cool to a degree. I was there for 3 days and it was 43 degree and the aircons did struggle, but it was OK.

The food at the pub is very good. The fillet steak was cook to perfection and breakfast was also good.

All in all, a neat and tidy place to stay in Cunnamulla.

Thank you for you review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. The rooms are constantly being upgraded and we will look at giving that bathroom a freshen up as it is now 3 years old. For light sleepers we recommend the cabins at the very back of the motel. If ever noise is a problem, please let us know and we would be more than happy to organise a quieter room (if available). Look forward to seeing you on your next visit.

Richard

Coming in to Cunnamulla from the west over the bridge the first hotel you see is the Warrego. It looks clean, white and crisp at the moment. Nice for an old country pub. Staff are really friendly and helpful. You see the girls in the Bottle Shop for room bookings. And as we were walk in's it was nice to see her try and get us the right room. Three choices, above the hotel, their Motel and their Cabins (plus a larger log cabin) We at first thought we would go for a room above the Hotel. All the rooms have been recently upgraded. And when we walked in, it looked fantastic. Clean, modern and roomy. Nice looking bed, bathroom, flat screen tv and aircon. But.......unfortunately the humming noise from the kitchen exhaust fans, the big hotel airconditioners would have driven the light sleeping hubby nuts. So we went down and asked to pay a bit more for a Motel room. Be warned, it is busy with road workers staying...so get in quick in the afternoons.

The Motel is close to the Hotel on the grounds, with parking right outside. They have been upgraded too, nice bed, flat screen tv and aircon. However you could see the age in the shower stall and toilet. The shower head has been upgraded but the basin was old. Get used to the sulpher smell from the water too, from the artesian basin water. It comes out HOT! And that is the cold tap.

Bed is comfy, room was pretty quiet, aircon only just copes with the 40 degree heat. But overall it's a nice space in Cunnamulla, close to town and happy to help staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the road, to stop Road Train noise. Beware of the extra HOT water that com...

Hi Kazbahtoo,
Thank You for your review. We will always do the best we can to make sure you are comfortable when you stay at the motel. Like most motels, we are located on a Highway, and as such rooms closest to the road may sometimes get a bit of road noise. The exhaust fans in the kitchen are turned off at 8 pm nightly to ensure a good nights sleep. We have also installed sound and privacy screens throughout the property including between the motel rooms to minimise noise for guests. We understand the importance of a good nights sleep and always recommend the cabins at the rear of the motel for light sleepers . We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and appreciate your feedback. Hope to see you again soon.
Kind Regards,
Richard

I stayed in their double bedroom flat last Friday night. The flat has recently been refurbished and it's huge! It has a modern look and the beds were very comfy. Great value for money. The pub has very friendly, helpful and polite staff, and I highly recommend the Warrego Rib on the Bone for dinner :o) Oh, and the room service breakfast is very yummy too! I would definitely stay here again.
ps. the comment from Growdeck about the dust is rather unfair. It's the outback where one can never remove all of the dust!

Room Tip: Flat 2 is on the lower floor and one can hear people move around on the 2nd floor above the rooms so...

Hi Caroline F,
Thank You for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed the flat. Like our other rooms, it is individually decorated, We have a lot of fun doing this and try to make the rooms feel homely when you stay. I love the huge clock in the living room. Hope to see you on your next visit.

Perfect country pub accommodation, we stayed in a cabin out the back and couldn't fault it, it's no fancy hotel but is excellent for a small country town, had a meal in the pub and it was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time
Highly recommend it

Hotel accommodation is pretty comfy but the motel and cabins are the best- the upstairs is a bit creepy. The beds are hard which is great for a light sleeper. The rooms are clean mostly with just a bit of dust. Staff are really good with bookings and the food is ok. Sleeping in a pub is great, as you get to walk to your room. Car parking is tight but driving an SUV I managed to get in and out. Easy checkin and check out

Room Tip: Cabins and motel are the best

Hi Growdeck,
Thank you for your review. Having so much desert country around us means we can sometimes suffer dust storms. On windy days we struggle to keep the dust under control. It's part of life in the outback. I apologise that you found the room a bit dusty and appreciate your honest feedback. It helps us continually improve our rooms.
Hope to see you soon,
Regards,
Richard
