Our stay at this property was very comfortable we were actually in a budget room. This room was medium sized but was very clean and had everthing you needed. The view from the front door was stunning. Was a very good price and would definatley stay there again.

All the rooms look out over the estuary which is really nice. Our room was clean but small. There were rooms that had been recently renovated but there were non available and I'm not sure the extra charge would have been worth it. We were disappointed to find there was no breakfast available and we had to walk down the street for breakfast. The location is really good as it is opposite the wharf and a nice walk along the foreshore to the main part of town.

Room Tip: some rooms have a micro wave but they cost a bit more and you need to think if its worth paying for

Stayed for one night following Australia Day in the new rooms and was very impressed. The room was clean, comfortable and pleasant sitting on the balcony. Not keen on the older rooms but the new refurbished rooms will be my choice whenever I am back. The front staff were also very helpful and made our stay pleasant.

Room Tip: Stay in the newer refurbished rooms

I think all rooms have a water view. Some rooms are newer and better appointed. We stayed in a fairly basic option, but with the rain coming and planning to stay only one night it was ok. The upshot is that it is very well located near the water. But since the town is quite small one could stay anywhere. Nice to wake up to the view of the river.

I have stayed at the Seaview Motel twice, each time being for about 5-6 nights. The rooms I stayed in were always across the driveway from the pool and office building. The rooms were always clean and the staff friendly on check-in and check-out.

One night I forgot to shut the louvres (windows) in the bathroom, and came home to a few spiders in the bathroom and a cockroach in the main room. I had an inkling that something like this may happen, so, being the city-type female that I am, I'd packed some insect spray and used quite a bit that night!!! Given that this motel is in North Queensland, I think some insect screens on the windows would be handy!!

Most afternoons there will be fellow travellers out on the (common) front patio having a few beers and a yarn. Thankfully, they all seem to go into their rooms after sunset, so you can generally get a decent night's sleep.

We have been staying at The Seaview for years. The view is unbeatable. Rooms range from older-style, 60s-vintage motel rooms to newer and roomier versions. Most rooms have wonderful views of the Endeavour River. In the older rooms the walls are thin and your balcony is a shared walkway - so there's not much privacy. If your neighbours are loud smokers, you will hear AND smell them. If they are quiet and pleasant, you'll probably have a nice chat. The older rooms also have older, noisier air-conditioners, which you often need to use because there's no insect screening, so you often need to keep the windows closed.
