Owner description: Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours takes you into the beating heart of the Daintree Rainforest on a guided zipline experience through six tree platform and the world's first Human Hamster Wheel cable lift. This is nature's own spectacular high definition live stream, available every day from Cape Tribulation. The guides are with you every step of the way, sharing their wit and wisdom with interpretation on every platform and they also control your flight throughout the tour, so there’s absolutely no experience necessary, making the tour suitable for all ages from three to 103. The platforms range from 3.5 to 19.5 metres above the ground and each one reveals a different level of the rainforest with unique and spectacular views into the canopy, over the treetops, down to cascading streams and out to the Great Barrier Reef (don’t forget your camera!!) There are up to twelve two-hour tours daily, with at least one hour up in the rainforest canopy. It’s essential to book, especially during school holidays.

Changed times 3 times and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. All of the guides were very helpful and great fun...also very efficient in safety and knowledge. Was great fun but I would say a little too short only 4 short runs, so a great morning, great people but over way to quickly!!!

My sons 10 & 12 loved this trip. It was a great experience to be flying through the air above the beautiful rainforest below. The mighty tall trees with the platforms are massive and you feel 100% safe at all times. The whole familyhad a ball and the boys loved getting to hang upside down on the last section. Would recommend to everyone - this was our 2nd time on the tour, having done it 3 years ago.

I really liked this. Was awesome fun. Next time I would prefer a smaller group so there is less waiting around but it was still great and the guides were fantastic!

We had a great time surfing the rainforest.
We drove up from Cairns for the day in the Daintree. We left at 9ish, and with a bit of meandering, arrived at the cafe just before 12, for lunch before the 12.30 pickup. We drove in their minibus to the jungle surfing headquarters, where we were all kitted up in harnesses and helmets.
We then walked for about 5 minutes uphill to the first platform. The guide gave a quick but comprehensive safety talk, and then started hooking us up in pairs for the first run.
Both the apprehensive pre-teen and his grandfather had a great time. The first 2 runs are in pairs, and on the second one they stop you over a creek, for a good look around. Nothing like hanging in the rainforest. You can take your cameras with you, they hook them onto a carabiner on your shoulder so they are very easy to get to. They also provided a plastic bag cover for it as it was raining. There are also plenty of photo opportunities, and the guides took some of our group for us on one of the platforms.
It was raining when we started, so we were all getting wet, but it didnt stop it being great fun, and after all it is a rain-forest.
The guides were informative about the forest and happy to answer questions.
The guides checked the harness before each run, and we felt very safe the whole time. Our confidence grew with each run, and even the most nervous managed the upside down turn on the final run - something we couldn't have imagined at the start.

as some one very nervous of heights i was hoping for some reassurance and understanding as i still wanted to take part in this family outing. From the start i felt the attitude of the female guides unenthusiastic, impatient and unfriendly. Being told i HAD to do certain things like go hands free and upside down did not help with my fear as at this point i was already up on the platforms. Having said the male guides were great, much more encouraging and friendly, it felt like they wanted to be there. Having spent $360 for barely an hours activity I do not think this was good value, not compared to the other fantastic things ie kayaking, snorkeling, diving and crocodile cursing we have done whilst here. I would much rather have done another full day on the reef, with food for an extra $100!
