“Nice setting but food pricy and what else is there to do here”
Reviewed December 21, 2013 via mobile

You feel like you are in a Disney themed restaurant only this one is in a real rainforest. And no beach view??
A comfortable place to sit even if you brought your own lunch, but menu pricy I thought.
Clearly this is meant for backpackers with the various lodges around, but not quite for me then.
Lovely, but short, beach walk with clear white sands.
Personally I couldn't see what else you would want to do here and staying up to an hour or two is fine. Any longer?? Not for me.

“Great relaxed place for a feed”
Reviewed October 15, 2013 via mobile

We stayed at the Beach House and frequented the bistro almost every night. The food was really good and well priced for what you got, steaks, burgers, salads everything we tried we really enjoyed. And the breakfast menu was great as well. And after dinner it's about a 2 second walk and your right on the beach. Lovely place

“Great food”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

We visited the a beach house for evening meal today and have to say we were blown away with the quality of the food. It was not expected in such a remote location.

The new chef is from Newcastle UK and his food is great and very much a cut above the other food we have tried in terms of combinations and quality.

The staff are really friendly and the beer is good. As proof of this we wanted to borrow a cricket bat and they just lent us he kit - we were not even staying there !

This is well worth a visit and we have done so for lunch and evening meal and so feel qualified to recommend a visit or 2.

Thanks again Beach House.

“Terrible”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Went there for dinner, took 35 min to take our order and another 25 min to deliver food.. Had the fish special cooked "en papillottes".. It was just a tasteless piece of fish, no flavours at all, full of water, seriously miserable.. Bad experience for us.

“You can't actually see the beach from the bistro”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

I was up at Cape Tribulation and saw a sign for the Beach House Bistro so decided to go there for lunch. You will need to drive 1.5 km of unsealed road to get there. The bistro is set in a backpacker style resort. You park at one end of the resort and walk through the resort to get to the bistro. The bistro is open aired and you can't see the beach from the seating. I had the marinated vege toasted turkish sandwich and it was very tasty. The portion was large.
