The Daintree was a breathtaking and interesting trip we took on our holiday in North Queensland. Once you see it, you’ll see that no documentary can compare to its actual beauty.

An important natural wonder everyone needs to see at least once in their lives.

The logo is where the rainforest meets the sea! And it was beautiful unspoilt and relatively free of people. It is easy to find a quiet beach with no one around. There are several different and well done walkways through the forest or the mangroves. These are beautiful and educational. And accessible for disabled people. There are some nice places to stop and have lunch. And 2 places with home made tropical fruit ice-cream. An absolute must! Note that you need to get a ferry to get across and its worthwhile going early in the busier part of the year to avoid a back-up at the Daintree River ferry crossing. There is no other way! It was good advice given on another review and we sensibly used it to avoid waiting. A GREAT day and experience.

We drove through 1/2 this park...
I wonder if the beautiful part of it was the other 1/2...?
Even the overlooks were poor....
Dont take me wrong... it was just ok... but i would not go back or recommend it at all.... ANY american National park is WAY more beautiful than this one...

This is just an incredible place. The scenery around every corner is breathtaking. The trees are just so old and so huge!

I strongly recommend that you drive all the way to Cape Tribulation (love that name), and stop at all the viewpoints and walk all of the park trails through wonderful tropical forests along the way.

Fantastic rainforest. Make sure you go north of Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation. There are some easy boardwalks / lookouts where the mobility restricted can view the rainforest but if you are able spend a few nights stay up there and go on some of the harder hikes to fully experience the Daintree.

The rain forest is truly spectacular, with incredible biodiverisity and incredible wildlife. The beaches are beautiful.

We set off from Mossman around 8am to avoid some of the traffic and headed straight for Cape Tribulation. This worked out to be quite good as we didn't have to wait for the ferry as it seemed most of the traffic started to roll in later in the morning.

We enjoyed a nice walk along the beach at Cape Trib before making a couple of stops on our way back at Cow Bay and for an ice-cream at the Daintree Ice Cream Company.

We stopped for a basic lunch at the Daintree Village Hotel before finishing up in Port Douglas.

This is well worth a drive but best you start off early to avoid some of the traffic on these slow winding roads.

Don't mis this rainforest is overwelming beautifull. We drove up by car from cairns, lot of stops to enjoy the scenery several stops with small walking tracks.
Cape tribulation is the "end" for std cars.

Make the time to head up here. It is just beautiful. Some great walks and rainforest is amazing. The only issue is the tyre killing speed humps along the road. Love it here
