Cape Tribulation is simply a beautiful place. The rainforest is gorgeous with walking paths to make them easily accessible. Whilst walking on the Dubuji boardwalk we spotted a juvenile cassowary which is very rare according to our tour guide. We had to wait until he moved back into the rainforest before we could continue! Kulki lookout over Cape Tribulation beach is stunning and the beach is just as beautiful. The water was calm and pleasant to swim in and is surrounded by mangroves. Truly just a beautiful, untouched part of Australia.

Fabulous that the area is developed in a way that protects the environment whilst allowing access to view its delights.
Very accessible. Good quiet and lovely views.
Any person of any age can enjoy the area on so many levels. Labelling of plants and interesting areas helpful.

Cape Tribulation is a must! Standing at the waters edge looking back the rain forest cominig down to the beach is a spectacular site.
The park area itself just rainforest with plenty of walks of exploring if you feel inclined.

The drive from Port Douglas was was pleasant and scenic. We had a few stops along the way as we headed for Cape Tribulation. The forest is lovely and full of nice walks. After spending a week in the area, I'd had enough of forest walks, but no doubt different if your an an enthusiastic walker or into nature.
Having done the Ferry Crossing on the way in we were a little surprised that there were no crossing times on our ticket, so headed out quickly worried we may miss the last one - never fear, the ferry apparently runs until midnight.

Driving from Port Douglas to the Daintree National Park is a surreal experience. The cable ferry crossing through the Daintree river transports travelers from a developed World of farming and small towns into prehistoric scenery worthy of a Jurassic Park sequel. The lookout points, attractions, small coffee shops by the beach and ice creamery offering flavors from native fruits are just a few of the many reasons to visit!
