I have been visiting Buderim for many years and have watched many cafes come and go but Capers is still there because it is always good, offering a variety of food choices, try the Thai chicken wrap. Muffins are cooked daily and are great as is the coffee. The take home frozen meals are very good quality. Capers is air conditioned for both summer and winter.

Ian makes the best coffee in Buderim and the French toast with banana and bacon is the best I have had and I always have it when I go to capers, we have our meetings there about once a month and I have yet to change it is so good. The second best thing is the muffins especially the raspberry and white chocolate and lemon curd muffins all very yummy. Always a friendly smile from the staff Ian does well you hardly have to wait long at all, great café.

I have only had coffee and cake there. Service was great, cakes were delicious and good coffee. Nice atmosphere inside if you get a table near the window.

Each year we manage a trip or two to Buderim (the result of a house-sitting hobby) and we always make a point of dropping in for a breakfast or lunch at Capers to catch up with Leon, the owner. He keeps us updated about the newest restaurants and coffee spots on The Sunshine Coast. He is also very astute about the food and coffee market in and around Buderim and has been uncanny in being able to tell us which new places would survive and which won't.
What he also does very well is provide a consistency of offerings at Capers at prices that are among the best anywhere in this tourist mecca. The coffee is always well made (though an unexceptional Vittoria blend); the food is tasty and updated to reflect changing consumer tastes (a quinoa salad was added on this occasion) and he runs the place like a well oiled machine .... but with his own personal touch.
Leon is well aware of the attractiveness of places offering boutique coffees and I'd be surprised if he doesn't soon incorporate single origin and boutique blend coffees before long.
This guy just keeps on kicking goals year after year ... and long may it continue.

very quiet on the main street of Buderim and for a quick afternoon tea it was perfect. Lovely hot chocolate and coffee for Mum and myself and we each had a raspberry/cheesecake slice which was light and tasty. Good service and pleasant surrounds, can be recommended
