“Nothing spectacular”
Reviewed May 15, 2014

My husband felt unwell the next day from having take away from here. This was the second time it happened to him. I was not unwell but the food left a heavy feeling. We are used to eating Indian and love it. But there is something they use here that just doesn't agree with us unfortunately.

“Possibly the worst Indian meal we have ever eaten”
Reviewed April 19, 2014

Having recently returned to the Sunshine Coast from The UK we were keen to try the newcomers to the takeaway and restaurant scene. Choosing Rasoi for a meal was in hindsight, a big mistake.

We ordered three curries, a Lamb Madras, a Chicken Saag and a Chicken Korma for the kids. we also order three Naans, a plain, Kashmiri and a Kheema. Rice was provided with the mains and turned out to be the only really edible item we received.

We have eaten literally hundreds of curries in our time and have never tasted anything quite like the meals served up at Rasoi. It was almost as if they had taken jars of Curry sauces and poured them over un-marinated meat. The Korma was over-flavoured with Coriander, The Saag was bitter and unpalatable, and the Madras had no hint of heat, simply being a mild but rich sauce.

It baffles me as to how these dishes have led to Rasoi being able to open 4 outlets around the coast. We will certainly not be returning and will be letting all our friends know to keep a wide berth too!!
