Lovely home with everything we needed breakfast on the huge deck with ever changing views, close to town with great shopping and food, enjoyed our day trips around the Boonah countryside, hope to come back next Year, Cheers Sue and Steve.
We enjoyed a very peaceful, scenic stay @ this lovely Hilltop Cottage in Boonah.
On arrival, Michael was very welcoming & gave us lots of extra information on the area & other interests in the region to visit, thank you.
The Cottage has a lovely feel, with all the amenities you could need & able to feel "at home" & enjoy the ambience whilst there. We really enjoyed the rising Sun from the Deck in the mornings over the Town - lovely atmosphere, mist rolling in, gentle hills in background & the Sunset in the afternoon from Swing-seat in the western Garden, so quiet overall & able to enjoy the sounds of nature & the Birds. Enjoyed DELICIOUS meals & Coffees at POPPIS Wholefood Cafe in Boonah, also @ Rathlogan Shed Cafe (Olivegrove), plus the Festival Day out @ Mt Barney Lodge, with lovely music, Bushtucker food tour & BBQ with beautiful scenery to enjoy also - there's so much more to enjoy in the Region also that we discovered, yet to explore on another trip. Boonah is a lovely township, with evident pride in the Homes, Gardens, Parks & Streets - very welcoming atmosphere & local businesses friendly & happy to engage & obviously proud of their town. Would definitely recommend coming for a visit to the Region, staying @ the Hilltop Cottage, relaxing & enjoying the surrounds & countryside.
Thank you Michael & Myra for a wonderful stay & your warm hospitality, hope to visit again & explore further, kind regards, Dee
Lovely place, very peaceful and restful. Near to lakes. Beautiful sunsets from the back garden and nice elevated setting. Friendly and kind owners who returned some clothing items we had left via courier.
This delightful cottage sits atop a hill overlooking Boonah and the Scenic Rim. The Easterly veranda has spectacular views and receives the most delightful breeze throughout the day. The west facing back garden is perfect for watching the sun disappear behind the mountains. Located just a gentle stroll from the heart of Boonah shopping district this comfortable home is ideal for those just wanting to escape the Big City lights or those wanting to visit the and explore the scenic rim.
The beds are extremely comfortable and the furniture is fitting for this character cottage.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Hilltop Cottage. We travelled with a young family (2,4 & 6 years) and the cottage had gams, toys, cuddly bunnies and even a dolls house ! ! Michael & Myra were very welcoming and all the details were attended to - we had a great few days there and would highly recommend this if you're looking for a good base to see the scenic rim !
Peaceful and roomy, with great views from the balcony. Close to amenities and friendly service from the hosts who live nearby. Good value, would stay again.
The cottage was a perfect base for exploring the Scenic Rim region. The verandah was wider than the pictures shown in the gallery with plenty of room to move and plenty of tables and seating. The view from the verandah was beautiful and where we spent most of our time. The western view of the sunset was also spectacular. The kitchen was equipped with all cooking utensils including large stock pot, good range of pots, pans and saucepans and a large coffee plunger and percolator. There was enough undercover parking for our four motorbikes (low clearance) and extra uncovered parking for the car. We were three couples and the only downside was the third bedroom was not a double bed. Will definitely return, even just as a couple.
