“Will keep coming back!”
Reviewed December 17, 2013

3 years ago my mum and I stayed at 65 Main for 3 nights and had the most fabulous time. So much so, that I remained in touch with Christine, and after much chatting and planning with her, we managed to organise a surprise getaway for my boyfriend and I before our big trip to Europe. We were greeted by the lovely Christine and of course, her trusty 4 footed companion Narla who is just gorgeous!
Christine took us into the living room and hand drew us a wonderful map indicating all the best places to eat, drink and anything else you may need. She then took us down to the Shiraz room. The room was absolutely perfect leading out onto a large private deck, shared only with the next room...and an ensuite equipped with a sumptious spa bath/shower.
Christine recommended a lovely restaurant for us to go to which is only a 10 minute walk further down the road, and we were not disappointed. If you are a real foody, and enjoy degustation menus, and flavours that are a little "different" then try The Argus.
65 Main is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne and it only takes an hour and a half to get there! You can also hire the entire house out for a week if you have a group of you wanting to get away.
You will not be disappointed if you stay here, and we will definitely keep on going back!!

Me and my boyfriend stayed for 2 nights as a gift from my boss and really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Shiraz Room which had a lovely big spa and was very pretty. Christine was very helpful and friendly right from the beginning where she even recommended places we could book for the Wednesday and Thursday night we were coming. We were also given a list of local restaurants and places to visit upon arrival which was very handy when we were exploring town. Thank you for a lovely stay Christine!

Upon booking our two night stay here Christine was very helpful with accommodating with our work schedule. Her communtication was great the whole time. We were welcomed and shown around and given some great ideas on places to visit and eat suited to what we were after. Our favourite was the blow hole which was just outstanding views & the chocolate mill! Thank you Christine for giving us some great tips and welcoming us into your home.

We had a four day stay at 65 Main in early November 2013 with 5 family members coming from New Zealand and 2 from Western Australia, and 5 from Victoria
The house was warm and comfortable with everything that we needed to make our stay a success. The set up of the house allowed for us to mix together or in small groups and the facilities were perfect.
It was close to all the attractions in the area and allowed us to BBQ, have Pizza and dine out as we wished.
Christine went out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
We will be back.

65 Main was the perfect place for our family of 11 to stay and celebrate our parents' 90th birthdays. All of the areas of the house - bedrooms, lounge rooms, dining facilities - were perfect. We were able to relax as a group, or spend times quietly as a couple. Everything we needed was there, including some delicious local food for breakfast, and a magnificent cake to have with coffee. The position was also perfect - with eating places, interesting shops, - all within walking distance. There were also many tourist venues close by to visit. Christine has done a wonderful job decorating the house, with fabulous art work which we all enjoyed looking at and discussing. It is really a warm, homely place to stay for a speial occassion.
