Cloverhill Hepburn Springs
Reviewed October 27, 2013

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at Clover Hill this weekend and we couldn't be happier! After arriving after dark we were greeted by Helen, who was so lovely! She showed us to our spa suite with the heater already on which was a nice touch. We stayed in a spa suite which was a beautiful modern two story suite. Downstairs is a spa bath with everything you need for a relaxing soak. The kitchen was stocked with everything from Lindt chcolate and champagne to fresh bacon and eggs! My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Clover Hill for a relaxing holiday!

Stayed here with my partner for 1 night - wish we could stay longer! Stayed at room 2. Arrived on a Tues afternoon - love it as its quiet.
For what you pay for $145/night for 2- you can't really expect much in terms of choc (Lindt choc) & champagne (yellow tail). The foods provided in the fridge was a generous 1 litre milk, 1 litre juice, some bread, margarine (butter would be healthier) and jam. In the drawers were some muesli - however we brought our own.

The only disadvantage for the suite for 2 was that the sink was in the bathroom. It made washing up dishes slightly inconvenient.

Facilities included a computer in the lounge room - partner mentioned it was slow. Doesn't matter as I prefer him off the computer! We had the lounge room for ourselves - great view.

Did not try out the gym or sauna..the gym looked cluttered it may need a makeover for it to look inviting? Overall a good stay, would come back with friends.

The glowing reviews on TA perhaps set our expectations a little too high. Cloverhill is nice, the staff are indeed friendly without being invasive and the room we stayed in (a suite, not a spa suite) was clean, warm and comfortable. The location is beautiful, just on the edge of town, surrounded by bush. We stayed for one night only and thus paid a premium for the room, and while we enjoyed out time away from home, we left feeling we paid a little too much for a nice, but fairly ordinary experience. The little touches could have been better for the price- the continental breakfast ingredients supplied comprised supermarket bread and cereals with tiny Kraft jams and Flora margarine. The biscuits included with the tea and coffee supplies were tasteless and the champagne and chocolates on arrival were Yellow Tail and Tobelerone. While we weren't expecting Moet, given the wonderful produce available in the area this was disappointing. There is no restaurant on site so the room service is largely alcohol. When we tried to order some nibbles to go with our bubbles, they were out of stock. The room guide asked us to take all our rubbish to the bins outside on check out- which I found objectionable when paying $200+ a night.

We stayed in an upstairs suite in the main building and the room was well appointed with a comfortable bed and good water pressure in the bathroom. There was some noise bleeding from the adjacent room, although those guest were not being especially loud. The decor is on the cheap side, but that's a matter of taste.

The spa treatment I had was nice enough, but again nothing amazing- I've had worse but also better. For a one night indulgence, there are better retreats elsewhere- Balgownie Vineyards or Werribee Mansion, for around the same price.

Room Tip: The spa suites are the the rooms to choose if you can afford it, they are independent suites looking...

Customer service at this accommodation is 10 out of 10. We were treated by the manager on arrival 7.30pm and she escorted us to our room which was lovely and cosy. Helen had the heater on for us. After we checked out I had realised I had left a very valuable diamond ring in the room. Helen couldn't do enough for me and I received the ring following day. Fantastic and very trusted service received.

Room Tip: We stayed in Suite 2 which was next to the sun room which was a little noisy with people walking alo...

We stayed at Clover hill and found this place very good, we arrived in the evening later than expected after a drive from the city in heavy rain, the office was closed, but a friendly note on the door asking us to pop next door to pick up our key, the owners are lovely and we were greeted by them both and their very friendly dog, then shown to our accomdation.

We had booked a spa suite and this lived up to its description, the room was lovely with everything needed, the breakfast was supplied and already in the fridge along with the bubbly. The room was clean and spacious and the spa bath room excellent. The room is two storied and looks out on to some nice bush/trees and is very private. It was cold this weekend but we were warm here.

We returned from a walk around the town on the second day to our compoleted, bill on the bench of our room with a personal note saying just depart when it suitedmusmthe next day all formallities already completed.

We did not have to ask for anything and had a lovely quiet weekend here stayed for two nights, a wonderful quiet weekend in a relaxing enviormeent highly recommended,

Room Tip: We did not view the other rooms but the spa villas are private and quiet.

My husband and I Stayed her for our 22nd Wedding anniversary on April 13th. What a wonderful place, we had an upstairs room with a beautiful view of the hills, it had a little verandah out the front, big rooms, continental brekky so many choices of cereals and breads was lovely. We had a bottle of champagne and chocolates waiting for us in the room. Helen was totally amazing we had a lovely chat about Bali she was very friendly and very helpful. We had motorbikes but Helen made sure that they were kept safe at night for us which pleased my husband very much. I in particular want to thank Helen's mother-in law who lived under the apartment we were staying in, what a wonderful beautiful person, she couldnt help us enough, she saw us pull up in the rain on the bikes and came out with some dry towels for us and the bikes, she showed us around the property, I just had to give her a big hug when I left. I would not hesistate in staying here again, they have a massive rec room with pool tables, tv, couches, games, books, stereo everything kids would love or a retreat at night for the adults. Cloverhill is not far from Hepburn Springs or Daylesford Townships, ohhhh and the Chocolate Mill, have one of their hot chocolates best one I have ever had ever.
