“A Cozy Cottage”
Reviewed December 6, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

That was my honeymoon trip to Briars Cottage. It was a comfortable accommodation provided everything we needed such as different cooking seasonings, bath salt, etc. The most impressive facility was the spa bath at the balcony surrounded by candles. Inside the bath, we could enjoy a hot bath and look at the green views outside.
Briars Cottage surely was the most enjoyable accommodation in my honeymoon trip. I would recommend my friend to stay.

“Bliss - great place to unwind”
Reviewed December 3, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

If you are wanting to feel like you have escaped the rat race and need to relax and unwind then Briars is the perfect place to do exactly that. No need to leave the cottage if you don't want to. Great selection of DVDs and good size couch to spread out on, spa on the deck overlooking the gully, private, full cooking facilities and the the most comfy bed. Located between Daylesford and Hepburn however it was an easy walk into town and down to the lake. We dined at the Farmers Arms and Mercato and both were very good.
Thanks to the hosts Di & Duncan. They have thought of everything and we look forward to our next stay.

“Perfect for a weekend away without kids!”
Reviewed September 21, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A lovely spot for a short break, with all the facilities you need for an extended stay. Di and Duncan clearly put a lot of effort in to making sure guests receive the perfect welcome; music, heating, lighting on, bottle of wine chilled...your holiday starts the minute you open the door. And the spa bath on the deck is just lovely - looking out in to the treetops, we watched the birds and kangaroos at sunset. We tried the Red Star cafe for breakfast as recommended - get's the thumbs up from us too! As does Kazukis for dinner (degustation menu fantastic), and Sault for lunch. We'll be back for sure, and may even bring the kids this time - they'd love the outdoor bath too!

“Well presented and comfortable”
Reviewed November 3, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Were in need of a family weekend not too far at short notice, so found this cottage in spa country.

Surrounded by other cottages on three sides not ideal, however frontage to Doctor's Gully makes up for the lack of space. Very peaceful outlook.

Tastefully decorated throughout with quality fixtures and fittings. Bed a bit soft for our liking, however gorgeous doona and pillows. The spa area outside is a bit cluttered and unnecessarily enclosed, needs a re-think.

Everything else is top notch, including service from the owners. Highly recommended!
