We walked up the hill in the morning after night rain. A beautiful walk...clean air and the Deodar trees are extra ordinary things. They clean the air around them and are trees often studied as there remains ancient forests of them still in the Himalayas. The wooden sculptures of snakes and womabats are very cute. The canon with no explanation but clearly a part of keeping the miners in line during the gold rush days. looking forward to another visit. oh I had the wrong shoes...wear walking shoes. Look at the amazing views across the landscape and breath the clean air.

A great trip up the hill for a walk and take in the older trees. Nothing outstanding as far as types of vegetation but a beautiful shaped hill with some good areas to stroll. A perfect place to escape from the crowded street!

The setting was impressive with all those wonderful trees. The stands of which have stood for decades. I would have liked more time to explore properly.

Nice quiet garden area with views over the town & surrounds. More a treed park rather than botanic gardens, would be nice in autumn

Love these gardens. Well maintained and a really picturesque place to spend for a Sunday afternoon. Bring a picnic too ....
