“Warming, friendly, great food”

I've lived in Forest Row for 8 years now and have long been a visitor to the cafe. It's warm, friendly, lovely staff, the wood burning stove is lovely in winter. The social ethos is great, but at no compromise to the food which is fabulous - best eggs florentine and benedict I've had, fresh juices, lovely range of teas and coffees. Their cakes are delicious and I'm always pleased that they have a range of gluten free cakes. If you can, go on a weekend as they have musicians coming up and playing for their brunch. That all sounds a bit glowing to be true, but there we are!

After recently moving to Sharpthorne, my wife and I were curious to try the food of The Organic Cafe. We visited with my parents and were all very impressed with the ambience and food. There was also live music playing which was pretty good. Overall we were very happy and will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

We've driven past numerous times. Somehow it doesn't look inviting outside. But inside its friendly and well designed.

A selection of snacks from soup to salads, and a truly great selection of cakes. The coffee's excellent. On Saturday and Sunday there is live music.

The cafe is run by a charity, and seems to be part of a local network of organic and alternative communities.

We won't be driving past without stopping again!

Strategically placed amongst a handful of National Trust properties we discovered this after visiting Standen. We went for the all-day breakfasts, veggie and meaty, both were excellent, and served piping hot, with excellent fresh ingredients. Service was good and the ambiance was very comfortable.

The cafe is part of wider community which provides support, housing and employment for people with learning difficulties and mental health needs. They grow some of their own ingredients and buy in from an outstanding farm shop nearby (Tablehurst and Plaw Hatch farm shop). These are both really sound ethical enterprises and worthy of our support.
