Booked this hotel so that we could visit East Grinstead hospital Site said free parking After booked and enquiring about parking was told it was on the road outside the hotel free after 5 o’clock or in the car park around the corner free again after 5 o’clock Absolutely no use to us at all. Breakfast included in the price was not until 10 o’clock My appointment was at 10 o’clock at the hospital However we could inform them at check-in and have it where I do not know at 8 o’clock An absolutely useless booking for what we wanted. So unfortunately we had to cancel it

Just stayed for 2 nights for work and when the awful job tan over due to chronic organisation tried to book for a third night but was unlucky. The judges room is a cosy twin en-suite with tea making kit and biscuits. The beds were comfortable but the room was a bit on the warm side and the bathroom is tiny. The staff were good particularly those that provided our excellent breakfasts. Would have liked to have spent longer in the bar but the poor choice of real beers made me go elsewhere for a few pints. Fans of gin certainly won’t care as there’s a really good choice here.

Just stayed for one night in the twin room. Central location in historic part of town, appropriate decor and helpful staff. The bathroom worked well for us but shower is the smallest so be aware! All in all very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent including the veggie version! The cafe bar is open late at weekends and there will be some noise from underneath but they do close the upstairs deck at 10pm to limit any disturbance.

Stayed at Gothic house on Thursday 22nd and have to say it was a very pleasant experience. On arrival we checked into the coffee shop attached and was shown to our room be very pleasant member of staff. The room looked like it was recently refurbished and was spotless. We ate alight dinner of tapas in the bar before going to the theatre which was well presented and delicious. I slept well and breakfast was superb.

We stayed here for one night and we impressed! Check in was simple and easy, lovely guy showed us up to our room, we had the Sackville Room and it was a large size. Bathroom was great with traditional bath tub & shower.

Room was furnished well, lots of space to store our clothes etc. TV had a Firstick which was new to us and we enjoyed being able to watch shows on catch up rather than the normal basic channels you usually get while staying in a hotel/B&B.

The complimentary Tea & Coffee that was provided was great and we loved the touch of the shortbread!

The room was old and creaky but we loved it and thought it added to the character of the place.

We got back to our room at about 11.30 and were a little concerned with the noise from CJ's but at midnight everything went quiet which was a relief and we were glad it wasn't too late.

We had breakfast in the morning which was okay, a little disappointing we were the first to arrive to breakfast, I wanted cereal which was in boxes on a table but there was no milk so I wasn't sure where to get this. The guy that served us was lovely but was in the kitchen so we didn't want to interrupt him. Our breakfasts were good but mine tasted of vinegar which was really odd so I only ate half.

Overall we had a great, relaxing one night stay!
