We stayed here for 5 nights on our trip to England. We have family in Stony Stratford, Bedford and Northampton. We found this to be a very good location. The cottages are outstanding. Very clean, amenities were very good, close to Milton Keynes shopping, the sizzling sausage and The Folly (both are a must to try). We will stay here on our next visit.
Thanks for making out visit wonderful
Stopped here for a short 2 night stay. Accommodation fantastic very well equipped. Plenty of room for 2 adults and my 2 dogs. The place was to a very high standard. Decor very tasteful through out the apartment and spotless. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be booking vey soon again. Had the privilege to meet the owner Victoria. Very helpful and informative about the area and places to visit. The apartment is situated in a beautiful location. Highly recommend
Mole Hole cottage far exceeded our expectations as we stayed there for a special 4 day birthday celebration. Fantastic quality accommodation , immaculately clean , with everything we needed for a relaxed, peaceful self catering break. We felt thoroughly spoilt. We loved the complete independence we had and the pre-visit organisation and communication were exceptional. Perfect for our dog too with lovely walks in the fields within the accommodation complex.. Towcester has everything you need right on the doorstep and there is plenty to do in the area too. Unbelievable value for money! We look forward to a return visit . Thank you
Stayed as a couple with my better half for a long weekend during May. We'd spent a long time prior trying to find ourselves a cosy little cottage in which to relax and get some much needed time away. We came across Tove Valley cottages, which has 11 beautiful cottages set on private land accessible by security gates.
Mole Hole was the best fit for us as a young couple, it's well sized and we really appreciated the open plan style of the cottage. We made frequent use of the free wifi (which in itself was very fast) and the surround sound located in the kitchen. It has underfloor heating which we couldn't quite work out how to turn down using the thermostats, but managed this by keeping the windows open.
Initially we struggled with how to set the hob/oven but in the cottage you'll find a binder full help guides on the appliances which made things a lot easier! I do recommend reading through the binder as it's full of useful information and shops/restaurants in the area.
When looking out the windows you do face another cottage/other cottages on both sides. We both prefer our privacy so kept the blinds down or mostly down for the duration of our stay. There are lots of little outdoor seating areas you can utilise but again you'd be overlooked by other guests and so this wasn't something we used.
The only thing we heard from the other cottages were chairs scraping on the tiled floor - ours did the same but it's hard to avoid. I think some floor protectors on the bottoms of the legs would be an easy fix. Other than that I think it'd be a good idea to bring a blanket to cover the sofa during your stay as it's leather and you end up sticking to it.
The bed was wonderfully comfy, the shower is spacious and the kitchen had all the necessary amenities. There's plenty of storage for your clothes/personal items to be stored away, and we kept our 'cupboard' food on the windowsill as the cupboards were full of kitchenware.
Overall we had a really wonderful stay at Mole Hole, and we're glad we booked direct as this saved us a big chunk of money that presumably would have gone to advertising websites. We would recommend and return to Tove Valley Cottages in the future. Thank you for a pleasant stay!
Quite location. Came with everything we needed, and our cat enjoyed it too. Hope to stay again next year.
My partner and I booked to stay in Mole Hole on our wedding night. We found it to be very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed and for a reasonable price. For any other night, it would have been perfect. However, considering we had made the booking especially for our wedding night, it was disappointing to see that no special effort had been made to acknowledge the occasion. All in all, would recommend but not for a special occasion.

This review is almost a year late, but having recently stayed in a self-catering cottage for a friend's wedding elsewhere in the UK, it reminded me how amazing our stay was and that I must write a review! We had so may comments from our friends about how fantastic the Tove Valley Cottages were. We hired several of the cottages late July 2015 for our wedding nearby at Stoke Park Pavilions in Towcester - for the groomsmen and their wives, (future) mother-in-law, nieces and bridesmaids. We ourselves stayed in Mole Hole for our wedding night. Everything was absolutely immaculate and the cottages were perfect. We got back in the evening to find a card and champagne to open after the wedding - it was incredibly thoughtful, and we have kept the card as a momento. It was very nice to be self-catering too and we were left perfectly in peace - my (new) husband made us a breakfast the next day and brought all the little touches of luxury to make our stay perfect. The cottages are in a great location and done to a very high standard. We all felt very welcome there and our young nieces were very happy playing in the fields right on our doorstep too. It felt very safe. I cannot recommend these cottages enough! Thank you.
