Excellent food and service from very helpful staff. I especially recommend the Sunday and Wednesday Carvery - A great stop off if visiting Silverstone Circuit near by.

“Community pub like it should be - has the missing ingredient!”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

The Butchers Arms is a rare jewel - a pub with a real sense of belonging set in a quintessential English village complete with church with peals of bells, Post Office, village green and school. Sarah's food is to die for and she, Roland and all the staff make everyone feel so welcome.

This pub is all about authentic British leisure. Leave your cares and pretensions at the door, talk to anyone and everyone and leave (somewhat after when you planned to) feeling that someone's just put the "good" back in life.

Sit in the bar for conversation with all, good company from all walks of life, wit, skittles, pool and stories; or through to the lounge for the best pub food for miles around, carpet, candles and a welcome that you simply won't find at any of the homogenised formulaic brewery chains no matter how superficially polished they may be.

If you like your pub to be the real thing - this is it.

“Nice village pub”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

Have visited The Butchers Arms many times - the welcome is usually friendly and it's nice to be able to sit in the restaurant side to eat which is a bit quieter than the bar side where you can sit and drink / play skittles (or eat if you like). I like the fact they light candles on the tables in the evenings which makes it feel cosy.

Fish night is good value (the fish is the best I have ever had!) and the carvery is always very tasty but some of the dishes do seem to be getting a bit expensive i.e. £11.95 for a chicken and bacon salad is way too much in my book and if it were a little cheaper we'd be more included to pop in for lunch. It's also a shame they don't offer a dessert menu, just the frozen indian types ones, although they occasionally have a home-made dessert on the specials board it would be better if these were available all the time.

“Excellent pub food”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

This village pub is welcoming and friendly and offers very good pub food which is also good value. The standard menu includes a good pizza selection with pizzas made to order. Fish night on weds gives a good choice of lovely fresh and tasty fish. The carvery on Wednesday lunchtimes is excellent value at £5.50 with a choice of 2 roasts and all the trimmings. The hosts Roland and Sarah also run popular theme nights with menu to match.
