Fantastic selection of beers, cider and gin. Staff great. Didn’t eat here, but menu looks interesting. Well worth a visit.

Great pub, massive selection of beers, ciders and gins with a wide selection of pies and food deals depending on the day. Not to miss the bands and "coach fest" during August bank holidays.

Traditional pub with a good pub atmosphere, about five minutes walk from the main town centre. There are about a dozen handpumps mostly serving ales from smaller breweries and several of them seemed to be the higher gravity types. Personally I would have liked to see a greater emphasis on local ales, but a pint of Pride of Sheffield from Kelham Island went down very nicely, nonetheless. The menu includes pub classics, burgers, pizzas and a good range of pies. They were doing pie & pint for £9.95 at the time of my visit and, opting for the Steak & Kidney, it was a decent pie with nice chips (mash is also an option) and a small portion of mushy peas. The gravy, however, was far too think for my liking. Overall this is a good pub, the type that is mainly used by regulars, but very friendly and welcoming to all.

Only been here for beers, not food.
No kids (nice).
Beer selection is excellent.
Traditional pub hours.
Loyal clientele which means it can heave (especially on Saturday) and on one occasion felt a bit clicky with staff, however have been back a couple of times and its been very welcoming.
I like the interior - loads to look at.

It is pricey for Wellingborough but its nice so you make your choices.
Its one of the good ones for sure.
