We stopped off at this place last weekend whilst passing through Thirsk as we we going to hull, We only had hot drinks but the service was fast and we were on tight timescale. Not expensive either and place is clean. Tea Room itself is up stairs and deli bit down stairs i found the staff really friendly. Next time i have more time i will stay longer and have food as good choice on menu and food looked really and smelt really nice

Friendly tearoom with great food and quaint atmosphere. Staff helpful. Pies and sandwiches great. Could not fault it for value.

Lovely friendly staff. Great choice of cakes and afternoon snacks, all homemade. Tea served in a huge pot. Good value for money.

Had lunch here, after seeing the Tripadvisor sign on the window. I had the Gamekeepers, brilliant pork pie, with chutney & salad, absolutely gorgeous. The wife had a jacket with cheese & beans, with salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Really attentive staff, who said they regularly check their reviews, which is what any good establishment should be doing, to get feedback. They don't take cards, but there is a cash point adjacent, which I popped out to. Highly recommend to anyone,

My partner and I popped in for some lunch after finding this little place on TripAdvisor.

I had the Huntsmans lunch which was beautifully presented and gorgeous to eat. My boyfriend had the Yorkshire blue cheese melt - which he LOVED and we shared a huge pot of tea. It was a superb little find and all for £15.10?! Magical.

If you find yourself in, or passing through Thirsk go here - lovely staff, atmosphere and scrummy food.
