Description: Bliss Cafe is situated a short walk from the Market Square heading towards Millgate car park and public conveniences. We are dog and child friendly and offer a warm welcome, table service and serve fresh local produce to order. We supply take out drinks and food and deliver lunches to our local business community. We are Allergen aware and offer a plethora of Gluten Free food including cakes. Also a range of Yorvale ice cream and sorbet. We always have a dairy free cake on offer as well. Our door is wide enough for wheelchair access but sadly we have two small steps up to our loo. We are happy to help you up and down the steps though...... Our wheelchair customers are able to ride straight up to a table and any special requests are met with a smile. Breakfast and lunch is served all day and if you can't manage a cake we do pretty beribboned boxes for you to take home some goodies. A small range of gifts is now available and Bliss has been completely refurbished in January 2016 to maintain our high standards for your comfort. We hope to see you soon

“Sausages !”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

The perfect cafe - our dog regularly veers towards the door, safe in the knowledge that Jackie and her staff will offer him a sausage whilst we humans can enjoy the huge lattes and the award winning breakfast (*other fantastic food and drink is available). Great food, superb company and our four-legged friend is looked after - what more could we ask for ?

“Delightful”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

There are too few places like this left and none around Thirsk. Very friendly and welcoming, you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. Whatever you want - if they have it you get it and done exactly they way you want. Yes it is small, yes it is a bit 'cosy' for push chairs and yes its a bit awkward to go to the toilet [the stairs are narrow and steep] but this quirky bolt hole will be loved by those with discerning views. Oh nearly forgot, the food and beverages are deserving of special note......excellent! Well worth a visit and you will not be disappointed.

“Another perfect breakfast”
Reviewed November 22, 2012 via mobile

On a visit from Northumberland so popped in to Bliss. Turns out they have just won breakfast of the year 2012 at the Herriot North Yorkshire food awards. No surprise given the one I've just eaten. Top notch. If you're in Thirsk don't miss it!

“A wonderful find!”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

We stopped in Thirsk for lunch and were delighted to come across this lovely cafe. The food was freshly prepared to our requirements and was delicious. The service was friendly and the warm current slice with clotted cream was simply yummy! It was refreshing to be served a large (indeed, family size) pot of tea instead of a stingy cup! Well worth a visit!!

“dog welcome too”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Found this friendly little cafe whilst on holiday in the area. Staff very friendly and helpful it was really nice to be welcomed with our dog and not have to sit outside at the mercy of the elements.Food was freshly prepared and cakes were homemade. Prices were reasonable and service excellent, even our dog was made welcome with the offer of sausages and water.Local people obviously regularly use this little place and they were friendly to.We would recommend you visit especially if you have your dog with you.
