“Faultless”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

Four of us visited here on Sunday 26th August- 1st time we’ve had Sunday lunch there and it was one of the best Sunday lunches I have had ever! The beef eaters got asked how they would like their beef cooked and they were not disappointed, one of our group just wanted a salad and nothing was a bother-she got a lovely chicken salad. My lamb was gorgeous. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and were fresh and tasty. Roast pots were great! We all had starters – three minestrone soups and one pate and it’s was one of the tastiest pates I’ve had in a long time-the soup went down well too. The desserts of creme Brulee, chocolate bombs and ice cream were equally as good. The bill excluding drinks was £100.00 £25 per head for such great food is very reasonable I think.
Apart from the food being excellent the pub itself is immaculately clean and the staff are pleasant helpful and attentive. One of the best places to eat in my opinion.

“Lovely pub and fabulous food”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

Lovely decor inside and comforable. Rural pub with home cooked food, with large portions. Huge compliments to the chef. Some may think little pricey, but well worth paying that little extra. We would have loved a dessert, but after that meal, no chance!!!!

“Most enjoyable Sunday afternoon”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

Me, my son and Hubby visited the Kings Arms today expecting to have one of their fabulous Sunday roasts, however the kitchen was closed due to them having a BBQ to mark their 6th birthday’. I’m not a BBQ fan but having tasted all the food that was on offer I have definitely changed my mind-the food was absolutely gorgeous, from the burgers, to the fish, sausage, chicken, vegetables, prawns, jacket potatoes, paella and salads-in fact everything you could think of! Even the bread rolls were gorgeous! This was by far the best BBQ I have ever been to and to top it all it was all FREE! Yes FREE!! This place never fails to deliver; ever the free stuff is top notch!
The young man who serves behind the bar always adds to our enjoyable times-he is always helpful and pleasant! Raymond and Alex make note-he is a credit to the Kings Arms.

“Order-from-the-chef concept really works”
Reviewed July 19, 2012 via mobile

This is a great place to eat. The evening service concept of ordering from the chef at the chill cabinet is a successful one that I've only seen done well, before, at a few places in city centres. Here it really emphasises the importance placed on great ingredients in what is a rural village pub setting. Friendly, engaging service and a great supper every time - never disappoints.
