Four of us visited here on Sunday 26th August- 1st time we’ve had Sunday lunch there and it was one of the best Sunday lunches I have had ever! The beef eaters got asked how they would like their beef cooked and they were not disappointed, one of our group just wanted a salad and nothing was a bother-she got a lovely chicken salad. My lamb was gorgeous. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and were fresh and tasty. Roast pots were great! We all had starters – three minestrone soups and one pate and it’s was one of the tastiest pates I’ve had in a long time-the soup went down well too. The desserts of creme Brulee, chocolate bombs and ice cream were equally as good. The bill excluding drinks was £100.00 £25 per head for such great food is very reasonable I think.
Apart from the food being excellent the pub itself is immaculately clean and the staff are pleasant helpful and attentive. One of the best places to eat in my opinion.
