We've been visiting this pub on a regular basis, at least once or twice a month, for 6 years, and have eaten here regularly. Unfortunately it changed hands about 9 months ago and since then the dog has gone to the dogs!
We had the Sunday lunch recently, yes there's lots of it, but how much lousy food do you want? It is served all plated up like an overgrown school dinner, with what I strongly suspect to be tinned veg and pathetic frozen Yorkshire puddings.
There are 2 or 3 real ales on offer but quality varies between acceptable and completely undrinkable. This has led to most of the regulars voting with their feet and going elsewhere.
On our last visit there was a horrendous stink of buring fat coming from the kitchen, which was making people's eyes water in the bar, there was a semi-tame pigeon flying around the bar and the pub is generally shabby.
I won't be going back again until I see the sign saying "under new management"
