We stayed the second time at the Greystone Farmhouse B&B – this time with our baby girl and the parents-in-law. Again we spend wonderful days in the Yorkshire Dales & Moors and on our little “home base farm”. Greystone’s is one of the best farmhouse B&Bs we’ve ever stayed in the UK and Ireland. We’ve been coddled with excellent breakfasts and delicious afternoon or evening cakes. Always fresh fruits were available. Sue and Lester have always been very friendly and helpful. And if you’re interested in sheep breeding or keeping of cattle be sure that Lester will be happy to answer you all questions … Our both visits were great experiences and we’ll be back for sure.

The farm is tucked away in a beautiful location. The only noise was from Sue & Lester's sheep and cows. The house is a lovely old farmhouse that has been tastefully modernised. The two rooms have their own access and a lounge and dining area.
Sue's homemade cakes and bread were delicious, and the breakfasts are a real treat. Lester even offered to drive us to a local pub for an evening meal on the Saturday night. The countryside in this area is fantastic - some great walks from right on your doorstep. Some very pretty villages and market towns make it a great part of the world for a holiday - we'll certainly go again.

I stayed here with my children and husband and we had a wonderful stay. We loved the tea and cake on arrival, what a nice touch. Lovely clean rooms. Nice views and surroundings. Breakfast was lovely, good choice, nice fresh local produce as well as plenty of fruit and cereal. Would highly recommend if looking for accommodation in the area.

I didn't know what to expect when I booked Greystone Farm as I couldn't find it on any independent website such as this but I was very pleasantly surprised. The farmhouse is in a quiet, secluded location on the edge of the York Moors National Park and close to the Cleveland Way. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious with comfortable beds and each with their own bath or shower room. Sue and Lester were very friendly and helpful. There was cake waiting at 11pm and the breakfast was probably the best I've had at a B&B with fresh fruit, organic yogurts, a variety of cereals and granola, and of course a cooked breakfast with eggs from the farm and homemade bread. They also did not charge a single room supplement which I thought was excellent though I guess in high season they might. I believe they also accept horses!

Highly recommended
