I visited the centre on Sunday and was surprised at the vast selection of birds they had my partner took part in the full day falconry experience and what an experience she flew a red tailed Hawk, spot an african owl and a Chilean blue eagle then went and took a hawk out along a lane where the group did the flying, when we got back to the centre we watched the flying display which was fantastic the big eagle just soured up to a small dot before returning to the handler after our lunch we continued with our experience, we fed a large vulture, flew a big grey owl and a cheeky kestrel we then watched the last display before we flew the golden eagle called boris which was awesome
All in all a fantastic value for money experience run by friendly enthusiastic staff in a well run clean centre.

Today’s visit to Falconry UK was a treat with plenty of interesting birds of prey on display. We were blessed with a perfect autumnal sunny day with a clear blue sky. This enabled a perfect view for the magnificent majestic white tailed sea eagle that soared high in the sky until the bird decided to come back to base at great speed. Wow! The centre is well planned with excellent facilities for the visitors and birds alike. Kerry our commentator was both knowledgeable and informative which made the demonstration educational and entertaining. We were able to use our Tesco’s day out vouchers for today’s visit but I would be willing to pay the nominal entrance fee if we visited again. Our ticket also allowed us to leave the centre and come back to see another display the same day, excellent value.

We visited the centre yesterday as part of a group of 8 with a groupon voucher. It took an hour to get there which we thought would be worth it as our children were very excited. Upon arrival, the woman in reception was rude to say the least, she did not greet us or welcome us and after asking if this was our first visit (we told her it was) she then gave us no further information such as toilets. After the demonstration she stormed out to find out whose child had got up during the demonstration. She then proceeded to frankly, berate the poor parent with the manner in which she spoke. Any parent welcomes and indeed expects to be informed of any potential safety information which may affect their child(ren) at such an activity, but there are ways and means.

Children were also asked to keep off the large lawn (there isn't masses for them to do between demos) and when we asked if there was somewhere they could play while we waited we were told 'this isn't Lightwater Valley'.

The staff made us feel so uncomfortable (for no apparent reason) and were so rude we left staying less than an hour.

The other reviews are quite favourable so I don't know what was different yesterday but a friend of mine had reported similar but I thought we would give it a go. Never again. We wouldn't even be prepared to pay cut price on a groupon deal let alone full price and I've made sure my friends know not to visit.

Really disappointing, to have travelled so far and be left down.

Got a Living Social family day pass, it was absolutely brilliant and would easily pay the full price on our next visit. Took friend and he has booked up for the falconry day experience for his 42nd birthday, and is totally excited about it.

we visited the falconry centre today ,the flying displays were very good however i was very dissapointed with the lack of bird handling you could do with just the standard entry ticket.we visited york bird of prey centre earlier in the year and they had between 5 and 10
different birds you could handle all for the price of standard entry.uk falconry allowed you to hold one tiny owl not much bigger than a garden sparrow

We are glad you enjoyed the flying displays, we do offer a free handling session after the displays with different birds brought out each time, I am sorry that you felt that we should offer more free handling sessions in comparison to other centres but we do focus on giving good value to our flying demonstrations and experience days.
