I was part of a work's party, attending Zeus before Christmas. In my experience, it is best not to expect much more from such nights other than a lot of noise, a lot of alcohol and food of, at best, average quality. On two of these counts, I was not disappointed. The food on the other hand was very nice indeed - keftedes (spicy meatballs) followed by a generous portion of stifado (beef). Possibly in the region of 200 hundred people served at the same time, the beef was surprisingly tender, accompanied by fluffy rice with, bizarrely, cauliflower, carrots and sprouts. All were well prepared with no hint of re-heating or the suggestion that the food had been hanging around impatiently
Drinks? The Spanish wine on offer was also a surprise for a Greek restaurant. No real ale and Guinness from a can. Make your own mind up
3.5/ for food, 2/5 for surroundings - a few well appointed lights could make a big improvement. Or perhaps they are hoping to avoid highlighting the rather dated decor?
