Booked for a very special weekend, it could not have been better, all the staff were amazing, they helped decorate our room because it was a special birthday, the food was fabulous, would most definitely recommend. Just perfect really

Well situated in the lovely Burnham
Market. Sunny courtyard with plenty of tables. Table service. Good drinks menu (the drinks aren’t cheap though!). Really very pleasant. We didn’t eat but the menu looked pretty comprehensive.

Dear K5389JNmarks

We are delighted to read of your fantastic experience with us at The Hoste, it is always a pleasure to hear.

In regards to our pricing, we are lead by our suppliers and the cost price in all areas of food and beverage have increased significantly in the past 12-months. We price match with our local competitors daily to ensure we are not over-pricing but I apologise if you feel the price is not as you expect.

Your feedback has been passed on to the team at The Hoste.

We look forward to welcoming you back at The Hoste again soon.

Kind Regards
General Manager

During a recent break staying in Holkham we had lunch twice at The Hoste. The hotel is in a lovely setting near the church at the end of the High Street. On both occasions we had very courteous efficient service and food quality and taste was very good. Sensible prices and portion sizes. Nice courtyard garden behind the hotel provides a very relaxed place to eat. If you want to watch the world go by there are table at the front of the hotel.

Dear BigT2410

We are delighted to read of the two fantastic lunch reservations with us at The Hoste, it is always a pleasure to hear. Both the garden area and the tables at the front of the hotel are popular areas to sit, relax, and enjoy the food and beverage we offer. Or as you mentioned, watch the world go by. We are pleased you enjoyed them.

Your feedback has been passed on to the team at The Hoste, whom will enjoy reading your kind words.

We look forward to welcoming you back at The Hoste again soon.

Kind Regards

Came for a late lunch/early supper - first time in over a year as the Hoste (sadly) gradually went downhill over several years, but we’d heard it had been taken over by a group that runs several other pubs & restaurants that we liked, so were keen to give it another go.
Sadly, I can’t comment on the food as the service is just as terrible as it’s always been...we sat in the garden (which is very nice & a late afternoon sun trap) and had to go and find first a menu (just like the couple behind us) and then a waiter. The beer arrived immediately, but no sign of anyone interested in taking an order from us for over 20 minutes, and no sign of the cup of tea or glass of water either. Lots of staff milling about, but no organisation - and it really wasn’t that busy.
The duty manager offered ‘a good table’ for dinner on another date and that ‘we would be looked after’, but I’m afraid we left feeling rather let down. Disappointed.
One star for the nice garden

We stayed here for a few days in September and despite there being a busy wedding on, the room was quite quiet. The bedroom was well equiped and a good size, as was the bathroom. The mattress was on the soft side, but this did not detract from the quality of sleep.
The whole hotel was very clean, even though it encourages dog owners to stay; I believe the dogs are allowed to stay in the bedrooms.
The hotel has a good restaurant and bar although the bar prices are quite high and during our stay it stuck to regular licensing hours. The restuarant menu was very good, as was the quality of the food, although the service could have been faster. There is a good wine list, the prices of which are reflected in the standard of the hotel. There are some other wines available that are not listed on the regular menu, as these include Petrus and Lafitte - at suitable prices!!
On one day breakfast was a buffet, which was extensive and plentiful, although the kitchen was slow to replenish dishes as they became depleted. It appeares that during the week breakfast was ordered and this could be quite slow - we had to wait 25 minutes to get a cooked breakfast. However, the quality of theh food was good.
The hotel boasts a car park, which was very busy and teh parking slots are quite tight, which makes it difficult when the majority of cars are large and generally SUV's! presumably this car choice reflects the hotel's clientele!
The staff were all very friendly and keen to please and many were multi lingual. The reception was very efficient. although slightly cramped, but luckily there are pelnty of seats available if you are in a queue!
