We have just spent a wonderful 4 days in the lovely Overdale cottage. Very homely and clean and comfortable. We looked for dog friendly accommodation and were so pleased with this cottage as it is like 'home from home '
We enjoyed the stunning views from the cottage and the short walk to the river at the bottom of the footpath.
The village was so friendly and the food and beer at the farmyard inn and the George was spot on.
We would love to go back to this part if the dales.
So would Ash - our dog.
Thank you for a lovely mini holiday.

“Lovely,quaint cottage”
Reviewed October 18, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Perfect for a quiet weekend away, Overdale Cottage is set in the lovely village of Youlgreave, great walks right on the doorstep and lots of good information was provided re walks and things to do in the local area, It's a very quaint stone cottage, excellently equipped with everything we needed, it has fabulous views over the surrounding valley and it even has a lovely terrace to catch the evening sunshine and enjoy the scenery.
The Farmyard Inn is a great local pub literally 2 mins walk down the road serving very good food and real ale.
I would highly recommend this cottage as it's perfectly placed to explore the dales, very comfortable, quiet and homely.

“Comfortable and Peaceful cottage”
Reviewed October 15, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This cottage is extremely comfortable and has a very welcoming homely atmosphere. Set in a peaceful location, local walks along the river offer a superb peaceful location. I highly recommend the Farmyard Inn which is less than a ten minute walk. The staff were very friendly with delicious freshly cooked food and a good selection of beer and wine. Overall a superb break away for myself, partner and Maisie the dog. Highly recommended.

“Excellent Stay”
Reviewed October 11, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Great little cottage on the side of the hill so be careful if you have a weak constitution! Parking on the main road is no issue.
The cottage has everything you could ask for inside and out.
Make sure you take a walk down to the river you won't be disappointed.
Loved the log burner at the end of the day to help us unwind so did our dog.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely cottage for a weekend break. The cottage is set in an idyllic location with lovely views over the river and beyond. The cottage was very clean and is very well equipped-It has a comfortable lounge with nice sofas and a log burner. The roof terrace is a lovely spot when the sun is shining to enjoy a relaing drink. The cottage is in a quaint little village with a shop and pubs serving great food-our favourite being the Farmyard Inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing break

Wonderful cottage with character. Very clean on arrival and you felt at home straight away .We came for 4 nights so humping one case up spiral staircase no problem .Bedroom was lovely as we slept with window open and curtains open to see sunrise in morning ...stunning .Car parking not an issue ,found a space every time , but this was September .Treck down from car was dodgy when wet , but it's worth it when you get there .locals are very friendly and will stop and chat ,especially the neighbours. Found the farmyard inn ok but a bit clicky. George pub was more our cup of tea with good ale and HUGE portions of good food .Our dogs loved the walks out & about an for touring the area its spot on .We are not a one for returning to same place , but this could come close .
