“Overdale is a gem of a cottage in a lovely setting”

We loved the cottage. It was well-furnished and equipped, and really well-maintained, and the addition of the roof-terrace was an inspiration. Everything about booking the cottage, finding it, and getting the key was made easy (except for the steep approach, of course. - it wouldn't be suitable for anyone infirm).
Silly of us to arrive just after the shops closed for a Bank Holiday, with only a few biscuits and teabags! Though no great problem, as two of the three good pubs in Youlgreave serve meals.

It was wonderful to be within sight and reach of Bradford Dale with its fascinating wildlife.
Youlgreave is blessed with friendly people. No downside at all - I won't mention WEATHER!

“All round brilliant stay best cottage rental ever!”

Very comfy cosy cottage, fantastic location with stunning views from roof terrace, ideal for breakfast and dinner with a glass of wine weather permitting. Probably one of the best, if not the best cottages we have stayed in, everything you needed was there for your use.
The only downside was you have to be fairly mobile as walk to and from cottage was very steep, and spiral staircase also could be an issue if not good on your legs. Would have been nice to see a few DVD's in case weather was bad, in saying that we will definitely be returning for more of the same.

“Paradise!”
Reviewed June 28, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We loved everything about our holiday - the comfortable, characterful cottage, the beautiful views and countryside, an excellent pub a short walk away, and so many lovely walks and places to visit. The villagers were very friendly too. Perfect in every way! We will return.

“Wonderful second visit - we'll be back!”
Reviewed June 22, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Overdale Cottage is the perfect hideaway in the dales for a (fit) couple, and the location is just perfect. As long as you can manage the path down, and the spiral staircase I'd recommend it. It's very comfortable with everything you need. The rooftop terrace looks out across Bradford Dale and there are excellent walks right from the door. The village is just big enough to have 2 shops and 3 good pubs serving food, but small enough to be quiet and friendly.

“A cosy warm cottage, ideal for two”
Reviewed May 11, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

A lovely warm cottage for two overlooking Bradford Dale, in a great spot for walking in the Peak District. Off the road and down a steep path a beautifully quiet location just perfect for a spot of rest and recuperation!

“Great little Cottage Set in a Quality Spot”
Reviewed April 17, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

If you want a central location in a quality cottage for two adults to hop around the Peak District, then look no further than Overdale in Youlgrave (locals name) /Youlgreave (sat navs name).

It's an absolute gem of a cottage with all the mod cons as well as the rustic "cottagy" feel you'd hope for.

All we can say is thank you for an excellent break, please keep up the good work!

“Traditional cosy village cottage with fantastic views”

Cottage has everything you need with good facilities. Ideal for walks, on your doorstep and village is very friendly. Good pubs, Farmyard Inn being the best for atmosphere and food and they don't mind you going in with mucky walking boots and happy for you to take your well behaved dog in too. The views from the cottage are fabulous. The only downside is the location. It is down a very steep hill, which we didn't mind but hard work emptying your luggage from the street down to the cottage. Street parking only.
