The food here is lovely, i would recommend it to everyone! Very good portion size for the price, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend their homemade pie of the day- that's always tasty, and their signature sticky toffee pudding.

Visited here on our last night in the Peak District and it was the best food we had all week.
Don't make the same mistake as us....go here first!
Hosts were lovely, very knowledgeable on the local area and extremely hospitable and made us feel very welcome.
Good varied menu, reasonably priced and just very very good!
5* food with 5* service

Me and my fiancé have been to this pub a few times now and enjoy the fact that it serves proper, satisfying, home cooked pub food and there is a great choice on the menu and specials board. We never leave feeling hungry! It is a traditional style pub with a huge selection of beer and the fire makes it very cosy on a cold night. There is plenty of car parking space and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

This is a little gem hidden just outside of the main village. We visited on a cold windy night where we were greeted with a nice warm fire in one of the rooms. The pub is dark but homely, like a good old fashioned pub (which I prefer). Food is home cooked with a decent standard menu and what looked like a very generous list of specials on a board near to the bar. We both ordered from the standard menu on this occasion. We didn't have long to wait as the place was quite quiet, but when the meals arrived I have to say my eyes almost popped out. The portions here are huge! Neither of us were able to fully finish our meals, and I certainly felt full afterwards. There is nothing worse in my mind than still being hungry after your main course. We will be back soon for round two.
