Blossom house is a great place to stay everyhting you require in the room to make a pleasant stay. The rooms are spotless the showers powerful with plenty of hot water, even a little fridge with fresh milk supplied (ideal if you want to put a cold lager in for your return from a day out).Diane could not have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were superb and if you wanted anything extra with your breakfast all you had to do was ask and the next day it would be there for you. Would highly recommend.

Blossom House has been recently done out in a modern, clean style. No chintz curtains, paintings of clowns or granny's eiderdown here: just plain cream walls, a bit of simple wall art, a good bed and new functional furniture. The bathroom is just as tidy, with a good shower and warm radiator!

There are only two rooms to choose from, and so you get an excellent service from Diane, the host, who cooks the breakfast exactly how and when you'd like it and was very helpful with local knowledge plus eager to help with anything else that we would need for our short trip. She made us feel very welcome and happy to be there.

We took the rear "Cherry Blossom" room, which led out to a small garden patio area. The room itself was fairly small but enough to accommodate two adults, one small baby plsu carseat, change bags etc. for a two-night stay. The front "Apple Blossom" room is very slightly larger due (I think) to a bay window given the extra floor space, but I believe this only has a shower (the rear room has a full size bath with shower over).

There is a tiny bit of occasional noise from the floor above (a few creaky joists) but nothing that would keep you awake at night, though the central heating makes a low rumble when it starts up in the morning!

Tideswell is ideally situated, between Buxton and Bakewell (about 20 minutes from each by car, if that) and has several pubs within five minutes walk (one next door but we didn't hear any noise Tues/Weds nights). Other than pubs, if you wanted takeout on an evening there is a chipshop, but that's all. We fancied pizza but that would involve a drive somewhere! For daytime food, there is a very good sandwich shop 30 seconds from Blossom House and a cafe/coffee shop a few minutes further down.

If we were going to the same area again we would definitely return to Blossom House.

Room Tip: Choose the Apple Blossom front room for slightly more space (but has shower cubicle only - no bath)

Thank you Diane for making our stay so easy. So friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. An extremely relaxed atmosphere and the best nights sleep ever! Our room was so clean and comfortable, with a modern design and a giant breakfast to follow, we couldn't have asked for any more. Thanks so much for all your advice on trips and walking trails. A really enjoyable visit and we only stayed one night!

2 night w/end with friends, ideal as it only has 2 rooms which meant we had the place to ourselves with our own private entrance. We were made most welcome by Diane - her B&B is a lovely modern, clean and well run establishment. The rooms are compact but her high quality furnishings/linens etc more than made up for this. Diane has an eye for detail and the special extra touches did not go un-noticed. Lovely breakfast made fresh to individual requirements, served on high quality crockery. We were given advice of where to go and places to eat. The nearest pub was only 2 doors away. A most enjoyable stay, thank you.

Room Tip: Both rooms really nice with top quality furnishings. Room at front slightly bigger with ensuite show...

What a gem Tideswell have with this little Beuty. We were welcomed and made to feel like true guests. Went away for a mini catch up with friends and not usually being B&B people we werent too sure what to expect. No need to worry on that front as this place is delightful. Diane has turned a B&B into a home from home. Both rooms are decorated with style and great taste and are very comfortable. They say the little things make all the differance and Blossom House does that. Just try and see for yourself. Breakfast is to die for and a lot of Hotels could learn a thing or two here. Really well situated and parking not an issue. Theres a pub just a stones throw away with real pub grub. If you are unsure what to do and where to visit on your stay no need to worry as Diane will point you in the right direction.
