“Great place for lunch”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

Had really good lunch half way round a walk in the Peak district. Very good service, lovely food. I had mushroom soup which was really tasty; friend had baked potato which came with lovely home made salads. Chocolate tiffin set me up for the rest of the walk. Very good customer service. Would really recommend it

“Lovely Restaurant, shame they don't do evenings!”

Visited Vanilla Kitchen a number of times during our holiday in the Peak District. Good service and delicious food. I would personally recommend the Triple Chocolate Brownies! Go and visit, it's lovely!

“WOW !!!!!!! A gem”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

After experiencing so many overpriced and poor quality establishments on our holiday to the Peak district, our faith has now been restored. Owners with a commitment to providing top quality fare, hard work and old fashioned customer service standards still exist, but you have to search them out. We are more than happy to give 10 out of 10 to this wonderful quality restaurant/coffee shop. Always a good sign when used by lots of locals. You can see food being freshly prepared by mine host in the kitchen. Great baking, mouth watering paninis and perhaps the best coffee we tasted all week. Whats more, excellent value for money. My wife says that the cheesecake was on a par with her homemade ones. A final note, you must visit the beautiful village of Tideswell, plenty of free parking, interesting shops, a great bakers and a must to see is the church known as The Cathedral of the Peaks. We shall be back next year and hope to stay in the village.

“Great place for a Birthday lunch!”
Reviewed July 25, 2012 via mobile

After a lovely walk in the Peaks, we ended up here for a friends 44th birthday lunch. Great paninis and wonderful herb-salted freshly cooked chips. The children enjoyed the kids menu, and we all sat outside in the little cobbled area and made the most of the warm weather. Excellent friendly service.

You won't be disappointed!

Excellent food and service; possibly the best side-salad I have had in a long while.
