My partner and i stayed here for a long weekend. Our hosts were very welcoming, warm and friendly. The breakfast and facilities were superb but what stood out was access to a beautiful little garden which we took advantage of, relaxing in the sunshine. Would definitely stay here again. A lovely weekend...

I spent two lovely nights at the Merman Barn. It's was a relaxed friendly B&B, great breakfast and the perfect base to explore a beautiful location. Linda was very welcoming and helpful, making sure I knew the best places to eat in the town. It was also useful knowing I could order a packed substantial packed lunch and have no worries the day about food while out walking.

Arriving here after a long drive was like coming home. The room was comfortable and well appointed with a luxury bathroom while the breakfasts were exquisite. This B and B is something of a jewel and Linda and Andrew provide guests with a special place to stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights at this lovely little B&B. We stayed in a double room with an en-suite which was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Tea and coffee was provided in the room, along with a very handy fridge stocked with fresh milk and water, which was very much needed as the weather was very warm. We had a full English breakfast one morning and salmon and scrambled eggs the next morning, both of which were fantastic, and filled us up for some serious hill climbing! Even when we locked ourselves out, it wasn't a problem, and we were let in after an evening out. Overall good value and thoroughly recommended for a charming Peak District stay!

From the moment Linda greeted us warmly at the car on our arrival, we were made to feel very welcome throughout the stay. Stayed 2 nights in very comfortable and well-equipped rooms. There is an excellent selection for breakfast and it's cooked to perfection. We will definitely be going back and would highly recommend.

Difficult to add to what others have said before - great location in lovely village I. Walking distance to pubs and shops with plenty of helpful hints from great hosts Linda and Andrew. Great to have large shower and luxurious large towels in en suite, room had all you could need or want and breakfasts too tempting.

Nice cozy rooms with all mod cons, even a mini fridge. Linda was an excellent host and the breakfasts were fantastic. Definitely will stay here again when I visit the peaks next time, the location is perfect for trekking with walks which start in the village.
