This is a brilliant place to go with friends/family, laid back atmosphere and a large area for children to play and animals to see or fuss

Been to the navi a few times, this pub goes from strength to strength. Kids facility's are unsurpassed in the area, food is home cooked but you'd better have a decent appetite if you're going to attempt the mixed grill or the burger and Whoever makes the curry should be proud. If your kids can't find somthing to do here there's a problem. If the weather is good there's a well kept garden with great play area and what can only be described as a mini zoo. In poor weather there are games consoles for older kids and a wacky type play area for the younger ones. All this while you enjoy a drink in peace! Top marks to the management for what is without doubt the best child friendly pub in the area.

We have just spent 3 days with our two grandchildren and two dogs at Conkers caravan park 5 minutes walk from the Navigation Inn, which we visited twice in our three day stay. The pub was friendly, welcomed children and had the facilities to keep them occupied both inside and out. They had a number of animals for the kids to look at. Also they permitted dogs in the pub with water and biscuits for them at the door. The sign over the bar said it all "This is a family friendly pub, if you don't like noisy children you'd best go somewhere else" The Guiness was good too. We will go back there without a doubt.
Thanks

I too read all the reviews for this pub and decided to go anyway. All I can say is I wish there were more pubs like this one. A family pub where kids rule. There’s a wacky warehouse, animals, toy, computers, games outdoor play areas, and if your kids colour any pictures up on the wall they go.. A kids dream (and all free). Folks moan about the decor, phfffff. Get a life, its clean and homely there’s toys all over the walls signs that say things like PARENTS PLEASE BEHAVE AND CHILDREN BE AS LOUD AS YOU LIKE. Lol. They are fully licenced to have children there at all times so there’s no kicking you out at 7.. Who cares if all the chairs aren’t matching and there’s the odd plastic table brought out to make room for someone. The food is lovely. You get loads of meat with your carvery, couldn’t fault it. (N if the kids eat their dinner they get a free ice-lolly) They have a very good other menu to and they will cater for any needs you have.. They do picnics to order where you choose what you want. The owners are lovely and welcoming. Animals welcome too.
When I went there were 8 of us. Yes the place was busy that’s why booking is necessary , there was no waiting or queues. We were all adults that went as we didn’t know what sort of pub it was. PLEASE DON’T LET THE KID THING PUT YOU OFF. There weren’t kids running round screaming and playing and getting in the way of my mums 70th birthday, as they were all far to occupied with all that was there for them to do, it’s a big place and there’s lots of areas some noisy some quiet. We don’t have young uns anymore but we will be returning with our grandchildren to show them what a wonderful place this is. This place is worth a visit and you will more than likely return. And like someone else previously said “stuck up snobs need not apply for a reservation”

Fab food, hospitality and good price too. A lovely 2 days spent eating and drinking, whilst staying at conkers caravan n camping site. Following a warm welcome, we ate massive burgers n steaks at such a reasonable price, local beers, great space for kids to play, pets were welcome too. We will definitely go back. Following the end of service at 1700 on a Sunday we were able to have take away in the pub too! An awesome host, that you Ruth.
